Set on Ucluelet's Big Beach, this 1900 square foot two bedroom beachfront townhome is the ideal place to cure you of city pressures. As you arrive into the charming fishing village of Ucluelet, drive through Rainforest Estates and make a left on Marine Drive, you will be captured instantly by the spirit of the West Coast. The city will instantly feel worlds away.
Whether you are looking to for an escape for two, a family or up to 3 couples (6 people), there is no better place to connect with the West Coast and those closest to you. The ultimate in West Coast living!
No detail is overlooked in this contemporary West Coast townhome that is completely at home on the edge of the Pacific. Exposed cedar, white walls and floor to ceiling windows create a space that is all about the view. The open great room (living, dining & kitchen) features casual beach comfort and extends onto a spacious outdoor balcony. The clean-lined 'picnic' table is the perfect venue for long evenings around the table. The kitchen is equipped with a gas cook top and all other equipment needed to enjoy an evening with friends.
The second floor master suite features vaulted ceiling and exposed timbers, a large ocean view balcony and ocean view jetted soaker tub. There is nothing between you and the ocean but a few pieces of drift wood! With a master like this, you won't want to leave.
With the Wild Pacific Trail out the front door, the Lighthouse Walk a 10 minute walk and the beaches of the Pacific Rim National Park (Long Beach) only 5 minutes up the road, this is the perfect home base for your West Coast adventure.
We loved our time here. What a great place to relax. The views were huge, both inside the condo and from the large decks...great for watching the tides, waves, and wildlife (easy to spot eagles and whale spouts). The condo is modern, spacious, well-fitted, and very clean. We enjoyed having such amenities as the fireplace, spa tub, laundry, and wi-fi...all worked well. Just steps out the door, you can be on the beach, or on the fabulous Wild Pacific Trail, which made for easy spur-of-the-moment outings. While the Pacific Rim National Park is certainly a draw for the area, we found the public Wild Pacific Trail to be a surprise gem, and did repeat visits at various times of the day, for unbeatable coastal vistas, tide pool exploring, whale-spotting, wave-crashing, eagles, photo-ops. Likewise for Ucluelet: While we did go to Tofino a couple of times to poke around, we were quite happy to be staying in "Ukee", which has its own share of nice amenities, eateries, and a couple of finer restaurants, without as much of the touristy feel. Let me add, though, that we played this vacation very low-key just to relax, but for the adventure seekers, there are plenty of options in the area...more rigorous hikes, kayaking, surfing, fishing, etc. The only thing we don't like about this location is that it is two days' travel from where we live! But we do hope to return someday. The property manager was a delight to work with and made everything easy. It was a great property in a gorgeous location making for a perfect getaway.
Since my husband and I were celebrating a birthday and our wedding anniversary, we were looking for a really special and secluded place. After a careful online search we settled on this VRBO. The pictures and reviews on the VRBO website were almost intoxicating! We paid more than our monthly mortgage to stay here for one week. The dream of staying here, after the planning, and then traveling 2,100 miles, disintegrated during our week-long stay and vanished by the time we left. We would not recommend staying here until the owners become reliable communicators (their telephone number was disconnected and we could not get access to the townhome when we arrived; and, emails were not answered. A chance encounter with someone got us in after a long wait); replace unsanitary, horridly stained, smelly, and worn bed pillows (dried blood and dried brown liquid stains), bed sheets (with small blood stains) and bath towels (stained and frayed); fix windows (broken handles) and unusable window coverings (torn blind in bedroom); and replace the gas grill (rotted with exposure to salt air and filthy grill); and, clean or replace badly stained furniture (leather chaise). This VRBO, while located in a picturesque and peaceful place, is vastly overpriced. You will be paying for the owner’s dream, not yours. The owner's response to our only verbalized frustration of not having entry to the VRBO on our arrival was an offer of “one free night on your next stay.”
This 2-story townhome, situated in the middle of a small, attractive townhome complex, has an unobstructed view of the open Pacific Ocean. It is located a less-than 5 minute drive, or 15 minute (mostly flat) walk, from the center of Ucluelet. We spent contented hours on a deck reading and watching the moods of the ocean change with the weather, from sparkling gentle waves to dark angry surges, and listening to the relaxing sounds of the pounding surf. Star gazing at night was really lovely. There are two bedrooms, each with a large bathroom. The small, main floor bedroom would accommodate 2 adults. The sleeping-sofa in the front room has a huge and heavy coffee table in front of it that would make opening the bed difficult (there is no place to move the large coffee table). The primary bedroom might have space for a portable bed, but privacy would be lost.
Although this townhome is listed as “wheelchair accessible,” getting into the townhome and using a wheelchair inside would be challenging, at best.
Ucluelet may be hard to pronounce but spending quality time in this coastal village is easy. This luxury beachfront escape is a terrific condo - tidy, comfy, attractive, and quiet. Just right for our family gathering. Huge windows and two large decks with unobstructed views of the headlands and ocean make this home a rare find. We hiked and went fishing but mainly just hung out in the condo soaking up rays and the beauty of the west coast of Vancouver Island. I would be remiss in not thanking both the property owner and manager of this home. Working with these ladies was easy and fun.
Excellent accommodation, excellent location. Highly recommended. Would book again without any hesitation.
This condo was perfect! The views were amazing and it is located right on the Pacific Rim hiking trails and the shoreline where we could go explore the tide pools at low tide. The condo itself was fully equipped with everything we needed, with plenty of space for everyone (2 adults and 2 teens). The rental arrangements with Jenny could not have been easier. I would definitely recommend this condo to anyone travelling to the Ucluelet and Tofino area.
My stay here was perfect.... I walked in and was speechless.. I could not believe the spectacular views from the balconies. The house was beautiful and came with everything I needed.. Jenny was very helpful with booking and answering my questions. I. will definitely be back . Longer next visit for sure 2 days not enough.. I would recommend this place to everyone. Thanks again karen
