About Ann Marie Amaro

Ed Amaro has enjoyed many years of fishing throughout the Central and Northern California areas. After retiring, he wanted to find a place to travel to with friends and family to enjoy some fishing.

Ann Marie Amaro purchased this house in 2001

Why Ann Marie Amaro chose Smith River

When Ed found River's Bend, he knew this was the house for him. Located right on the Smith River and surrounded by Redwood trees and it's very own waterfall, he decided to purchase this property.

What makes this house unique

Ed enjoys sitting in the dining area or outside on either the upper or lower deck with a cup of hot coffee to overlook the Smith river. Hearing the wind and calm water flow of the river is very relaxing while casting out to catch some fish.

Beautiful house in a beautiful location

  • 5 of 5
This house was everything advertised plus some. Upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised by how clean and well maintained the house is. The access to the river is amazing and made our week of vacation absolutely wonderful. We have 4 year old twins and the house was kid-friendly while still allowing the adults to relax without feeling we were hanging out in a playroom. The property around the house was full of little trails and areas for us to explore and of course the river was excellent for small boys to throw in their lines to do some fishing.
Thanks for sharing your property. We will definitely be back. We have rented several different locations through VRBO and this is definitely our favorite rental to date

Perfect family vacation rental

  • 5 of 5
Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with people. Upon arrival we were in overwhelmed at the natural beauty of your property. My boys both enjoyed exploring the river and fishing in the small metal fishing boat. Your home was equipped with everything we needed and was lovely and clean. We really enjoyed roasting marshmallows and making s'mores by your fire pit. The natural waterfall was very beautiful too. We enjoyed it so much we hope to make it back next year.

Wonderful!

  • 5 of 5
My parents, my children and myself throughly enjoyed our stay in this wonderful home on the Smith River. The house was exactly as descibed with easy access to the river and beautiful views from any room.

The area is beautiful and it's perfectly located for easy access to both the ocean and the woods with Crescent City being an easy drive if you need any supplies. We especially enjoyed seeing the redwood trees, don't miss Stout Grove!. Ocean World was a fun afternoon as well.

I would recommend this property to anyone who wanted a peaceful spot to get a way from it all and enjoy the beauty of nature.

Perfect house for our trip

  • 5 of 5
We enjoyed it very much. The house was very clean (had to un-plug some plug-ins as they were a bit overboard) and had everything we needed in the kitchen and bathrooms. The back porch and area overlooking the river was awesome - we spent our nights out there around the fire pit, they left plenty of firewood for us. We stayed 2 nights and hiked in the surrounding areas. It was really great.

Great escape

  • 5 of 5
My husband and I stayed at this beautiful house in July 2012. We drove into out own little rain forest, huge beautiful trees and greenery everywhere. The little waterfall was a nice surprise too!! Access to the river is great, perfect for putting in a small boat or just playing in the water. Water is shallow and slow enough for little ones, and deep enough for the big kids. We will be keeping this house on our list for our family get together, as it is plenty bug enough for a group.
Thanks for sharing your home with us, it was beautiful and very well stocked and very homey.
