COMING SEPT 1: NEW MASTER BATH AND GUEST BATH. This adorable home is situated in the heart of Central Austin, nestled in the highly coveted Allandale neighborhood on a lovely tree-lined street. If you need to work from the house, we offer a convenient separate work area with WiFi and unlimited no-cost long distance.

There are new hardwood floors throughout the house & a fabulous new kitchen with granite counters, mosaic tile and stainless appliances. Three private bedrooms, 2 king beds, 1 queen. Fabulous new master bath and complete renovation of guest bath. The decor of the house has an Asian feel complemented with designer lighting and both modern and traditional influences. The house is very bright with beautiful windows and Pottery Barn drapes. The entrance hall opens to the computer area and dining room.

The fully equipped gourmet kitchen and living area with 42' HD plasma TV are very open while the bedrooms offer complete privacy. Call with special requests or questions.

The house is 1/2 block from 34 acre North West Park. The Park has a swimming pool with lap swim lanes and several diving boards plus a children's wading pool, lighted tennis courts, basketball court, fishing pond, children's playground, and baseball field. If you're into shopping, the house is only five minutes from The Domain and the Arboretum.

Enjoy the Austin live music venues on 6th St, the Warehouse District, Esther's Follies, One World Theater, Bass Hall, Zach Scott Theater and more. The neighborhood also offers famed Dallas Nightclub, Slick Willy's Pool Hall, Trudy's, Sherlock's Pub. A few of the local Allendale restaurants include Fonda San Miguel, Mirabelle, Sampaio's, Ichiban, Enchiladas Y Mas, Amy's Ice Cream.

Looking for the best barbeque, Austin offers County Line, Saltlick, Rudy's, Sam's. Outside adventures can be found at Barton Springs and a short trip outside of Austin at Krause Springs, Hamilton Pool, Enchanted Rock, Lake Travis. And, don't forget Austin's Hill Country and multiple vineyards, including Mandola's Vineyard in Austin.

A few years ago my husband and I were looking for a business that we would enjoy when we decided to retire. We started with one vacation rental property in 2007, and we now have 4 properties and manage a fifth. The best part of this business is the variety of guests that we have hosted.   • The large Zen bedrom has a fabulous platform king bed with hotel-quality linens. The bedroom sitting area is complemented with Oriental bamboo rug and Oriental furnishings. A second bedroom has a four poster queen bed, down comforter, quilt with luxury shams. A bedside end table and antique Queen Ann chest of drawers complete the bed-and-breakfast feel. The third bedroom is also another master with an attached bath. Enjoy the evening in a luxurious king size bed and down comforter in a very restful setting. The hardwood floors, hand-crafted batik wall coverings, and World Market rug and pillows create a very warm, inviting room. Also available are pack and plays for babies or toddlers. The house has very nice inflatable mattresses for an extra large group. All bedroms have ceiling fans.

Great house...A+ experience

Came to Austin for my brother's wedding. House was perfect for our needs (sharing house with my family & my parents) and the description of home & pictures are exactly what you get. Modern & well laid out; fenced yrd & park within walking distance is perfect for kids. Will definitely try & rent home again when we go back!

We enjoyed our stay at Hill House Allandale very much. So much, in fact, that we wanted to re-rent it in January/February 2012, but it was taken. We also wanted to rent it in May 2012, but again it was taken. We'll keep trying!

It was a very comfortable house. Since we had our dog with us, the doggie door was most useful. One thing we would recommend: a TV in the master bedroom. We are addicted to watching the evening news/weather/sports/late night as we drift off to sleep!
Owner's Response: Hello, you two. I do hope that you will find time on my calendar and come again to have time with your family. This week we are renovating the sunroom, and giving the living room a new look. I think you will like the changes. I've even got a TV that I can bring to the master bedroom for you! Great family house!

Six adult family members + 1 baby stayed in this house for a week. We were in Austin for our son's wedding. The accommodations were very nice, rooms as described on this site. We were concerned about where the baby would sleep, since this was her first trip away from home. We ended up putting the crib in the master bath. It has a pocket door so we could block her off. It worked out perfectly, and she slept well. Love the big shower in the master bath! Allandale is a great neighborhood, with good access to everything! Enjoyed the outside deck area - good family gathering spot. Made burgers & dogs on the grill. House worked great too for bridesmaids' quarters the day of the wedding. Took baby to the park across the street. Highchair came in handy too. All in all, a fantastic week in our favorite Texas city! Would rent again. . .

Great family vacation home!

My husband and I stayed for two weeks in July while visiting our daughter in Austin. We were very pleased with the house and enjoyed reading on the sun porch and grilling out back. The neighborhood is excellent for walking and running,and the house is very close to a park. The logistics of the rental was also very smooth -- excellent communication throughout the experience. The location is ideal for easy access to Austin. We would definitely stay at Hill House again.

Will Definitely Rent Again!

Great rental modern home! Enjoyed it during the winter season, can't wait for the summer! All necessities were available :) Quiet neighborhood, comfortable beds, and a nice floor plan made the stay even more pleasurable.
