This home represents perfection. The water views are beautiful and the beach is lovely. At low tide you can walk for a mile toward Sandy Neck Beach across the Bay. This home is for the picky at heart, it is very tasteful yet comfortable and warm. Our family had the best vacation ever.
My family splurged to stay at this home for our family vacation. We have been going to the cape for several years, staying in smaller homes... but felt this time we'd go all out! This home is very large & the kitchen is what you'd expect for the price for a weekly stay. That's all the positive I have to say about this property. We started by arriving a few minutes early to the property & were told there was no chance we could get inside until 3pm. Came back at 3:30pm and still had workers at the house for another 2 hours. Kitchen pots and pans were unusable. Not enough silverware for 8 adults. Very interesting decor... with a mirror on the wall every 10 feet. The second "master" bedroom's bed squeaked whenever you breathed in or out. The so called "ocean views" included a small sliver of water that you could see from the balconies. As far as the beach goes... there is a definite walk to the beach. It's privacy includes walking through neighbors yards to get to the beach & several cottages that are right on the water. Upon arrival to the beach, we couldn't understand why no one was there.... quickly to find out that it's because the flies are horrific! With the fly boxes out, DEET applied, we still had to take a family member to urgent care from the allergic reaction from getting bit so many times on her arm. Any person on the beach was quickly swatting away the flesh eating flies & went home. We drove to beaches and paid for parking nearly every day of vacation.
At least 4 days of our vacation the caretaker was there... without any warning.. mowing the lawn, clearing leaves, etc. It would've been nice to know considering we were greeted by strange dogs in the yard while sunbathing in our bathing suits on the porch. Instead of being watched by the caretaker, we decided to go inside.
Last, when you think of a rental property you don't think of moving into someone's home with their own stuff everywhere. The first dresser drawer I opened had a high school diploma in it & other personal items. We didn't even feel comfortable unpacking our suitcases.
I would recommend you find somewhere else to stay... I have plenty of recommendations of better properties I've stayed in before if needed...
This home is simply stunning. From the moment you set foot on the property, you get the feeling of being at an elegant resort. The grounds were beautifully maintained and the house is well-appointed. We stayed with our extended family and found the home to be spacious and welcoming. It offered something for everyone. My husband and I enjoyed many hours on the private tennis court and enjoyed lunch on the spacious deck afterwards. Our three kids loved exploring the beach and finding treasures. My in-laws enjoyed soaking up the sun and reading books on the deck of their guest suite. In the evening, we enjoyed preparing meals in the gourmet kitchen (which was fully stocked with everything you would need) with the biggest decision being in which fabulous room would we eat!
We enjoyed the quiet, private nature of the home and its surroundings, but also found it convenient to many other areas of the Cape. My husband was able to golf at many of the great courses in the area. It's central location is key.
Laura anticipated all of our needs, and the house was well-equipped. She was available to us for any questions or issues, which there were none, as everything was perfect.
I would highly recommend this property. The steam room and the tennis courts are a bonus, as well as the proximity to the private beach. It is a great home to kick back, relax, entertain, or simply just enjoy it's beautiful décor and surroundings.
We were thrilled to stay at this house. It is spacious and beautiful. There’s plenty of room for six to eight people to spread out and not feel on top of each other. The design and finishing touches on the first floor make for an elegant yet comfortable home. The back deck is perfect for entertaining or just hanging out. We loved the extensive grounds and watching a myriad of birds visit from the nearby bird sanctuary. The tennis court is an added plus. The proximity to the bay is fantastic. The bedrooms were spacious and beautifully appointed. The master bedroom’s walk-in closet was an added plus. It was fabulous to have so many bathrooms, and we appreciated that all the towels that were clearly top of the line and new. The house was immaculately clean and was warm and welcoming. The owner, Laura, was delightful and did her best to insure that our stay was perfect. Just one note of warning: This is not a home for the elderly or anyone else with mobility issues. The beds are unusually high and two need steps to climb into them. Also, there are no railings by the entrance stairs. Otherwise, I highly recommend this home for a Cape Cod vacation.
Cape Cod Bay -- the ocean is cleaner and clearer than any other part of the Cape. It is private here and non-touristy, a haven for the discerning vacationer. The restaraunts are the best around and Route 6A (northside) features antiques shops, FINEST of dining, spectacular beaches and serenity.
