Mountain Retreat

Lovely home, and very well equipped, small kitchen. We spent Memorial Day weekend with our grand children, and even though it rained two days we had a ball. We introduced them to fishing at the trout farm. Caught 4 large rainbow trout. ($80.00, but worth it!). *Note* Gem Mountain is not open on Sundays. Convenient to modern super markets with no shortage of selection. If the pool is important, check ahead to be sure it's available.
Don't miss Sorrento's Bistro in Banner Elk. It's very nice. Great food, good service, and an impressive wine cellar.

Owner's Response: The pool water is much too chilly in May and it is being upgraded but should be better than new in a few weeks. We look forward to our future visitors!
