Our newly remodeled home is nestled on a private, lush acre at a comfortable 1000 foot level just ten minutes from downtown Kona.

Extremely private, Hale O'Oma has virtually no neighbors, simply endless sunset views. Our home features ~450sf of covered lanai with an additional ~750sf of uncovered lanai. Relax and enjoy the sunset from the six person hot tub and enjoy the stars from the lanai.

Whatever your pleasure, you are sure to enjoy the Hawaiian lifestyle at Hale O'Oma.

I am so blessed to be able to call Hawaii my home. I relocated from California two years ago. After leaving my job of 25 years as a Property Manger, I came to islands for a quieter, simpler life. The good, bad and the mosquitoes!

We stayed at this property from Feb. 28 to Mar. 8, 2014. Our initial impression of this home was that it looked updated and spacious. It is very quiet and peaceful except for the neighbors' rooster early in the morning. The hot tub is clean and well maintained. The guide books available were very helpful. However, we found that the home was not as clean as it could be. The kitchen was nice but there were a lot of personal items of the owners (including a lot of food in the fridge and freezer) in the home. The bathroom did not have a fan and was dark and musty smelling. There was only one roll of toilet paper and we had to go buy our own. The bathroom sink was clogged when we arrived and the owner tried to make us pay for the unclogging of it which really put a damper on our vacation. We complained and did not have to pay for it in the end but then she decided to deduct the paypal service charge from our damage deposit. She obviously was not happy paying for the sink unclogging and it seemed she just wanted to make us pay for it somehow. That was an unpleasant experience. The downstairs TV room also smelled musty or something like that. It just didn't smell clean. Beware of the mosquitoes! The screen doors do not close tightly and mosquitoes get in the house and made the evenings not very relaxing. We went on the lanai one night and got eaten alive by the mosquitoes. Thank goodness we moved to a much nicer place with no mosquitoes for the last few days of our vacation!
Owner's Response: -Yes, there are personal items as well as food in the freezer. This is my home that I share.
-The bathroom does not have a fan, but does have a window.
-Interestingly enough, the clogged sink was not reported until the day before departure. My cleaning staff did not have the problem prior to their arrival.
-Paypal will charge a fee if not properly booked on the payee's side.
-The smell in the TV room is from the brand new couch.
-The screen doors do close if shut properly.
-Yes, there are mosquitos, it's the tropics.
