Summer by the Sea

The description on this site is accurate. I would definitely recommend this home to my friends and relatives.
It is a very civilized beach house kept in in pristine condition. It feels roomy inside. There are decks off everywhere. You can see the sea from the upper decks. You get cross-ventilation. It is a quiet street. You feel like you have privacy. The kitchen has everything. A nicely sized laundry room is right off the kitchen. The house has extra closet space.
The owners are very responsive from the moment you contact them. They address questions you bring to their attention in a very short turnaround. It could be as small a problem as a light bulb. They bent over backwards to help us obtain internet access and it wasn't even in the lease. They let us borrow their bicycles or whatever we needed from the umbrella/toy/outdoor grill storage shed in the back, which was loaded plenty of beach chairs, a beach cart, boards, everything. They are very available by phone.
This is a great place for getting close to the sea. A path leads nearly straight from the house to the dunes and ocean where the beach is huge. There is a life guard one block south. The ocean bottom here creates perfect conditions for swimming, surfing, body surfing, boarding, skim boarding, etc. There is always a good beach for walking. The tides have an interesting effect on the sand bars and sometimes make large pools.
It was nice to be on that beach knowing that an outdoor shower and a nice clean house would be waiting for me. Easy to keep clean. We even had teenagers. We used the house for three months. It gets great light. The south decks are very nice for sunsets or for taking in the evening. The sun comes in the other side on the morning.
This home is about a 3 block walk from a very fine restaurant, L'aragosta, at the circle with the lighthouse. Two can eat for $50 to $60. You can see the sun over the bay. Our other favorite restaurant was Macedonia, 2 blocks from the circle. It's a traditional Greek family restaurant, great food at great prices. Up the avenue in the central business district is Andre's. They have dining rooms and do a good dinner or lunch with good pricing. The whole island is laid out very conveniently for shopping necessities. My wife liked to browse Lilli Rose Boutique (in the central business district) for a few clothing purchases.
There is a fishing pier hidden under the awesome Brigantine Bridge.
