Watermill cottage is situated on the edge of Bryngwran village on the Isle of Anglesey, it's a fantastic location for outdoor and active vacations during all seasons, or just relaxing and enjoying the peaceful surroundings.

The cottage has recently been sympathetically converted from an old stone barn, to a spacious cottage offering superb accommodation of an exceptionally high standard. It's been tastefully and thoughtfully decorated and furnished and has plenty of character, such as the wooden and slate flooring, exposed stone walls and large oak beams, a particular feature in the living area. The cottage benefits from its own secluded terraced garden with a patio and barbecue area at the back of the house, whilst at the front there is room for three cars to park amply in their own private area.

Just dropping you a line to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay at the cottage last week. The weather wasn’t great (windy!!!), but everything else was lovely.



Getting back to the cottage after being buffeted on the beach was a joy! The accommodation is of a superb standard, so cozy and welcoming - it felt like a real home from home to all of us.



We won’t hesitate to come again next year!

Beautiful with gorgeous grounds.

We stayed with 10 of us in total and we had more kitchen crockery than we have ever had before.

The grounds were beautiful and the local farmer even offered a tractor ride.

Would definitely recommend to anyone, lots of things to do and the kids had a ball in the sleeping den!

Fantastic cottage, in a great location.

I celebrated my birthday at the cottage with family & friends it was fabulous couldn't of asked for anything better. Booking was simple and any inquiries were answered immediately. The cottage is fantastic it's well maintained, kitchen is well equipped, bedrooms clean & well presented, nothing has been left to chance. The dogs loved the local walks & the beaches are fantastic. A great weekend was had by all would definitely recommend to anyone. Alison the owner & Caroline the neighbour are helpful and provide excellent customer service.

Wonderful retreat with a warm welcome!

This was our 4th visit to Watermill Cottage - a convenient location and well maintained property. Reliably clean and comfortable with a very warm welcome from Caroline on our arrival and during our stay. The owner of the property, Alison, is very helpful and willing to recommend all the local attractions

and Restaurants. Our favourite restaurants being Dylan's in Menai Bridge and The Seacroft in Trearddur Bay. The beaches nearby are easily accessible and the coastal walks are wonderful. Perfect holiday home for family and friends.

Beautiful cottage in lovely setting.

Watermill cottage is beautiful: there is plenty of room for a large family/friends and my girls loved sleeping in the beds on the mezzannine. The cottage is ideally placed, near to Treaddur Bay and Holyhead and it was spotlessly clean. Towels were provided and beds made up, which is always good and saves any hassle on arrival. The patio areas outside the cottage are ideal for summer bbqs and are bathed in sunshine from early in the morning. the whole process from booking, to payment, to return of deposit was slick & easy and my communications with Alison (The owner) were great. I would highly recommend a visit :-)

Fantastic House and Location!

Had a wonderful week at Watermill cottage. There was 7 of us staying with our 3 dogs, and we had a fantastic time. The house is stunning and very spacious, making us feel at home straight away in its cosy interior and design.

We enjoyed the country roads surrounded by farmland close to the property where we walked the dogs in the morning, as well as looking across the fields. An amazing sunset every day!

There are large supermarkets (tesco and morrisons) a 10 minute drive away, as well as many other shops, which were all a quick journey and no hassle at all. Generally the weather was good, expect the odd rainy day so unfortunately couldn't experience sitting out on the patio but sure it would be great in summer to have a bbq.

Places we would recommend would be, rhosneigr beach (close to cottage, clean, great views, dogs allowed this time of year, air field), newborough forest, south stack light house (amazing photo opportunities), snowdonia national park. We wish we had booked 2 weeks instead of 1 to explore more!

The cottage: the girls loved the balcony! (aged 15 & 13), great master bedroom with ensuite, as well as attractive downstairs double bed with ensuite(needs picture on here). Spacious hall way (enough room for boots/coats etc).Kitchen great with island. Cottage very clean. Powerful showers.

Only a small note for improvement: We would have liked to have more than 1 key for the house, as sometimes we returned back at different times.

We are already planning our visit next year, will definitely be back.

Thank you for allowing us to bring our dogs,. Recommend for any type of family :-)

Weekend away

We enjoyed are stay here, despite the rainy weather-and the cottage was ideal for an extended family visit. My daughters loved the long bean-bags and there was plenty of room for us all to relax!

(We did wonder who owned the field across the road though, as it had flooded in all that rain and a horse was left in it overnight!!!Shocking!!!Poor thing!!)

Anglesey has over 650 miles of footpaths which enable you to discover and explore the 120 miles of coastline, including sandy beaches and rocky headland. Much of this coastline is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, or owned by the National Trust, it's hardly surprising then that 25 per cent of the award-winning beaches in Wales are on Anglesey.

You'll find a whole host of sea related activities to enjoy, there's sailing, sea fishing, Kite and windsurfing and canoeing. For those of you who are a little less 'thrill-seeking' the miles of wonderful footpaths will enable you to discover the vast variety of wildlife which thrives on the island, especially the bird population, whilst fantastic views of the distant Snowdonian mountains can be seen at some points. The property makes for an ideal base from which to explore all this and more.
