Vacancies throughout November and early December. These cottages sit on Polperro's outer harbour wall and are probably the most romantic, self catering, holiday cottages in Cornwall. You will not find accommodation closer to the sea nor so full of history! Willy Wilcox - after whom one of the cottages is named - was trapped by the sea, while bringing contraband into the cave, deep under the house. During winter storms, heavy wooden shutters protect the windows, as the waves break on the rocks below. Inside, you can sit in front of a roaring open fire. You are snug and safe behind thick stone walls, which have faced the sea and been home for fishermen for hundreds of years. On fine days, you can watch the fishermen preparing their boats and landing their catches. These must be the most popular and sought after holiday self catering cottages in Cornwall - there is rarely a week when they are not both occupied. These cottages are large but, out of season, they are priced for 2 people
