Beautiful Oceanfront Townhouse in a small complex on West Bay Street approximately a half mile from the Caves and only five minutes from the airport. The townhouse is new construction and was completed in 2007. It is fully furnished with all the amenities of home including top of the line appliances, flat screen T.V., surround sound, BBQ as well as a whirlpool tub. Each bedroom has its own full bath. The complex only has three townhouses (one is unoccupied) and share a pool. The Travelers Rest Restaurant is within walking distance and the beach is located across the street.

I also have a three bedroom in another community - please inquire for details.

I also have a car 2010 Toyota Yaris available to my tenants at a reduced rate of $250/week.

Great for small family

Ocean Mist was the perfect condo for a small family. Make sure you take advantage and RENT THE CAR that is available. We made a mistake in waiting until we arrived, but the owner was gracious enough to allow us to rent it through email correspondence. The "beach" across the street isn't much for sunbathing or sandcastles, but we did take some gorgeous family photos along the rocky shoreline. Our favorite restaurant was at the Compass Point Resort, just a short drive from the condo. Downtown Nassau is about 15-20 drive. The condo was clean when we arrived and had all the amenities that we needed, including a high chair and pack n play that we needed for our 1-year-old. Everyone on the island was very nice and we felt safe during our entire visit. I would definitely recommend this condo to anyone looking for a quiet vacation away from the hustle and bustle of the big resorts.

Island get away

My wife and I spent a week here just looking for some piece and quiet. That much we found.
The dealings were painless and communications very good with the owner. No issues and everything as expected. Was worried about other reviews on the barking dog but no issues there. We made friends as soon as we arrived and she was good. I'd make sure you introduce yourself to her and she is sweet. Oh yeah, there was another post about the bed being small. It was a queen and quite comfortable. The house has great appliances and was clean. Met the property manager and she was friendly and helpful. Location was great for us but I would highly suggest a car if you want to make frequent jaunts. Public transportation is not cool.Internet and cable worked fine. Had good time, would return.Did not care much for the Travelers Rest resturant but enjoyed a couple of meals at Compass Point a couple of minutes up the road. Same price - 100% better ambiance.

I would only go to Travelers Rest for drinks and music. I also always get a car when I am on the island (actually just purchased a 2010 Yaris that is available to rent at a reduced price) although most people do use the jitneys and tell me they were fine. Loved the Bahamas, loved Ocean Mist!

We just returned from our 7 night stay at Ocean Mist. We had a great vacation. The townhouse is very nice. Our group consisted of 2 couples. We really enjoyed having our own bedrooms with attached bathroom. It was also nice having a bathroom down stairs.

The kitchen is excellent. Appliances are all stainless steel. The gas stove was great for cooking. We also utilized the gas grill which was on our private patio. There is also a charcoal grill available for use.

The location of the condo is great. It is a few miles south of the Cable Beach area and it's probably a 30 minute drive to paradise island with the traffic. We enjoyed being out of the busy area, yet it was easily accessible. We rented a car and enjoyed the off street parking behind the townhouse which made it very convenient to come and go.

There is a nice area to swim across the street from Travelers Rest which is right next door. We did a fair amount of snorkeling across the street which was pretty good. It's very easy to get in the water directly in front of the condo on calm days due to the rocky shoreline. We also enjoyed the swimming pool on site. It is very private and gets great morning sun. There are a couple of chairs available for sunbathing.

It was nice having the Travelers Rest Restauraunt next door. They have a live band a couple of nights a week which we took advantage of. The food there was good.

Overall, we were impressed and very satisified. The views from townhouse are excellent. You can watch the cruise ships zip in and out every morning and evening. The only drawback that we experienced was the neighbor's dog. She is very nice dog but barked every morning at 5:30 A.M for about 10 to 15 minutes. The couple that had the bedroom facing the back of the townhouse were woken up every morning at exactly 5:30, as the dog is just below the bedroom window. Aside that, it was flawless. The Bahamas is wonderful! We can't wait to return.

Great place to stay!

The townhouse was beautiful. Very modern decor and great size tv. There is a bus stop across the street to get where you need to go for $1.25. It runs until dark. Unfortunately, we had a bit of an emergency. The owner was very cooperative and gave us a refund for our stay without any hesitation. I recommend this property 100%!

The relaxation of the multi- tier patio was better then described. The pool is on the lower tier and was refreshing. While we did not snorkel we did see some people taking part in that while we were enjoying the ocean. At night the waves of the ocean crashing soothed us to sleep. The interior is modern, clean and has high end amenities (i.e. appliance, entertainment center) everything you need is right there (i.e. filtered water, pots, pans, towels). The beds were pillow top queen mattresses and extremely comfortable.

At night we used the Jitney (bus) which picked us up right outside the townhouse. For $1 they took us to the casino and the resort area. We were glad we didn’t stay there as we wanted relaxation rather then the hustle and bustle however it is a must see. Another must see is downtown Nassau especially if you enjoy shopping. Another night we ate next door at Traveler’s Rest. The food was good and the drinks were great. Compass Point was our favorite restaurant of our stay.

We had no issues with the owner and the property manager checked in with us the day we came in. She was a delight. We have stayed at these owners other townhouse in 2007 and enjoyed this one just as much!

PERFECT Peaceful Spot

This property has EVERYTHING you could desire in an oceanfront location in Nassua. All the modern conveniences of home are here as you look out at the ocean or jump in the pool out front. The breezes off the ocean kept the place cool enough that we did not need to use the air conditioning. Ocean Mist is a perfect name for this GREAT vacation spot. We would return without hesitation and the owner was wonderful to work with.
