Welcome to the Roost. A secluded pet friendly, creekside cabin sitting admist 2 private wooded acres on Jenny's Creek, cozy enough for 2 yet spacious enough for more! Perfect for groups! Located near Helen, Dahlonega, Blairsville and North Georgia wine country. Sit on the front porch in rocking chairs or swing while enjoying the fresh air and the beautiful sights of nature. A 3/4 wrap around porch allows a relaxing view of the sparkling creekwater from the upper and lower decks. A screened-in dining porch offers the peaceful sounds of the rushing waters below. Smores are a must by the creekside firepit. Come enjoy a swim in the summer, the striking array of color in the fall or the warmth of the woodburning fireplace in the winter. Spacious bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms offer privacy for your getaway. In the evening, the finished walk-out basement featuing satellite TV, media area, game table, and a bumper pool table offer night activities as well as extra space for airbeds.

Escape the noise of the city to our Roost. It is a very private setting. Located near Historic Dahlonega Gold Mining Town (25 miles away), Cabbage Patch Babyland General, Apline Helen (10 miles away), Unicoi State Park, Anna Ruby Falls, Vogel State Park, Brass Town Bald (the Highest Point in Georgia), Lake Lanier, Russell Scenic Parkway, Appalachian Trail, Dukes Creek Falls, Historic Sautee-Nacoochee Valley, High Shoals Falls, Horse Trough Falls, Helton Creek Falls, Desoto Falls, Smithgall Woods and numerous nature and hiking trails. There are Festivals throughout the year, Oktoberfest in Helen, North Georgia Mountain Winery Tours (5 local wineries), and Dahlonega Arts. Tubing down the Chattahoochee River is a must in the summer or trout fishing anytime. Leave in the morning and venture in the beautiful North Georgia Mountains or the Blue Ridge Parkway and come home to the cabin to relax by the fire or listen to nature on your choice of 3 decks!

My family loved this gracious hideaway tucked into the leafy hills. There was plenty of room for people to gather and talk or play games or watch TV, or stroll down to the creek, or chill on the deck with a frosty beverage. The kitchen is well-equiped, with cute sympols of the property's name (The Roost) everywhere! We also found supplies of board games, puzzles and books for family members of all ages. The muffins and wine that greeted us on arrival were a most welcome treat! Just wish we could have stayed longer - maybe next year?

Great Fall Getaway

We stayed here with our dog and 3 year old. What a fantastic time! Something fun for everyone. The cabin was very relaxing. We especially loved the electric fireplace in the basement. The leaves were absolutely fantastic! We want to go back in the spring just to see how pretty it will be with the leaves grown back! We also enoyed our visits into Helen. I say "visits" because we had to go back to get more fudge! Anna Ruby Falls is gorgeous and not a bad hike for small children. The owners are great. I would definitely stay here again.
