(Please see our two other condos at VRBO 31552 and VRBO 226081.) This 2 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath condo is 700 yards to the beach. Enjoy a true island setting among huge live oaks in the best location on the island to anything you want to do. It's a short walk or bike ride (4 free cruiser bikes on your patio) up the sidewalk to the beach at the Old Coast Guard Station (public white powdery sand swimming beach, about 300 yards wide, gets deep very gradually, drive and park in free public parking lot if you don't care to walk). This is also close to Massengale Park, a beachfront public park on Ocean Boulevard with swings, big shade trees, grills, and picnic tables.

Notes: A reserved marked parking space is just 25 feet from your door. The entire condo floor and baths are done in 20' porcelain tile, so the whole condo is mopped with pine-sol after each tenant. The only carpet in on stairs for safety. A charcoal grill and wrought iron table and 6 chairs, and 4 bikes, are on your patio. No pets or smoking indoors.

totally thrilled

This was our best vacation yet. My husband and I brought our 4 sons down to stay at this condo for the 1st week of June. It was very comfortable for all of us. everything was so close by. We really enjoyed riding bikes around the island. the best part for me was the beds. They had the nicest most comfortable mattresses, we all slept like logs. The owners were very easy to get in touch with if you had questions regading things to do or places to visit on the island. Best was all of the fishing advice they gave for my son, who could not get enough fishing. I don't think we could ever dream of vacationing anywhere but here.

Wonderful Family Vacation

This place was perfect! We had enough room for eight people and the amenities were just like being at home. The bicycles were a big hit since they were used to ride to the beach daily and to the store for snacks. We found one minor issue but it wasn't enough to keep us from enjoying our visit: the WIFI didn't perform so we connected to the internet via the USB cord from the modem. Other than that, everything else was great! The beach, village, grocery stores, fishing were all only 5 to 10 minutes away. We were even suprised to find a RedBox DVD rental located at the grocery store and watched a few movies. The owner was available and responsive to our questions. We will return to the island next year for sure.

A great way to relax!!

We arrived and the condo was very clean. Had a few questions of the owner. He returned my call and email immediately. Just a short bike ride to the Village Shops, the lighthouse, and the public beach.

We thoroughly enjoyed our first trip to St. Simons Island. The condo is in a great location to the beach, shops, and restaurants. It was refreshing to deal with such an accommodating and "down to earth" owner. Would highly recommend this property.

perfect home away from home

My family stayed here in June and had an unbelievable time. The place was very clean and beautifully arranged. Everything in the home appeared to be brand new. We enjoyed the wireless internet and found the bikes to be very helpful. The owner was extremely easy to work with and a pleasure to rent from. The beach is just right down the road. Also, my sons enjoyed the pool and ping pong table. We look forward to coming back next year!
