This lovely guest home is located a little over a mile from downtown and the Capitol Building, with easy access to the Sixth Street/Red River Music District and SoCo (South Congress Avenue). The guest home has been thoughtfully spaced on a large, landscaped lot to maximize privacy from the main house, with a perimeter fence and spacious dog run for those guests who are traveling with their pooch. Includes a king-sized bed, a full-size kitchen with countertop bar, beautiful hardwood floors, wireless broadband internet access, and a 32' flat-panel HDTV complete with surround sound and digital cable. From your off-street parking spot, it's less than a mile to a dozen local cafes, coffee shops, and unique bars; it's also under a mile to the UT football stadium.

Stayed there with my wife in June. Whatta place! A lot nicer than a hotel. Clean, well decorated with everything close at hand. Shower for 2 was great, as was the big four-poster bed. Coffee in the am. outside attuned to nature and surprisingly cool. Great for any type of stay. As the owner says "take a bounce" on the trampoline just outside your door.

Perfect Home Away from Home!!!

This guesthouse is a diamond in the rough. Conveniently located just minutes from UT Stadium and all the downtown sites and activities, the guesthouse is nestled away in a quiet neighborhood enjoying urban renewal. This home (and many nearby) feature modern design and green living.

From the moment we entered the gate we were greeted by a lovely patio and garden featuring native Texas plants & shrubs, recycled glass pebble walkways, and a table & chairs perfect for morning coffee. Inside the guesthouse we were surrounded by luxury and Texas charm! High end finishes throughout, deluxe large slate tile shower, and red leather sofa and loveseat work perfectly with the Texas sized king bed! The host has thought of every detail including ipod dock and wireless internet, coffee grinder, and more!

Our favorite things are the touches of Austin music history which include vintage framed album art and concert posters from nearly 30 years of The Home of Live Music which is Austin. Helpful guides and information are supplied as well, maps and attraction listings, even coupons for special events! Perfect for your Austin getaway!

Perfect!!! My nephew and I stayed for only 2 days , but could have stayed much longer - great bed- everything was brand new. Very convenient to the Erwin center - we were there for a basketball tourney and will be back!! Thanks Leslie.

You are a wonderful host! Your help with music choices and restaurants was great.
Thank you for having such a comfortable studio apartment. We stayed 10 days and were very happy. We will definitely come again soon if for no other reason than to have the companionship of Lila and Miss Pickles. They were a great substitute for our cat that we always miss.

Our first trip to Austin was a great one as we felt the excitement of the city, yet a very comfortable and cozy feel in this great little place. We had the perfect amount of space for my husband and I and our large dog, Sasha. Leslie (the owner) provides a very accurate description of the place. It really is as great as the pictures show! The yard was fenced for Sasha to run around in, as well, which was relieving to not feel like we had to take her everywhere with us. I don't know which was our favorite part: the trampoline, the great kitchen, the very comfortable king bed, or the great large (and gorgeous) shower! Or maybe it was just Leslie's great touch of giving you the "lowdown" on all the great restaurants and places to see in the books she provides (including a homemade notebook of menus, maps, brochures, etc)! We'll be going back as often as we get a chance!
