Outstanding location within a stones throw of the famous endless beaches of the Costa de la Luz, this beautiful villa is set in its own private gardens with terraces for sun and shade on the edge of the village/resort of El Palmar. Within walking distance of bars, restaurants and supermarkets it is an ideal location for a family holiday, providing plenty to do for both young and old. With lots of original features, beamed ceilings, and craftsman-made fully fitted kitchen etc, accommodation on the ground floor comprises living room with fireplace, separate TV lounge with sprung double bed settee, twin bed room, full bathroom, plus a double shower room (two showers!). Upstairs comprises 2 double bedrooms and one twin room plus full bathroom. There is a further garden shower. Ideal for large or small groups. Air conditioning/CH, Satellite TV with some UK channels, barbecue, garden furniture etc.

Our Costa de la Luz holiday villas(of which this is one) are a stone's throw from the sandy beaches of El Palmar, on the Atlantic coast, and are well placed for all sorts of activities - not least, watersports, horse riding and walking - and day trips to Seville, Cadiz, Jerez, Tarifa, Gibraltar and Morocco. The Grazalema natural park and mountains are an easy drive away. While the Costa de la Luz is not nearly as touristy as the Costa del Sol, there are several bars and restaurants within walking distance of the villas, and a well stocked supermarket is within a three minute' drive. El Palmar is on virtually the southernmost tip of Spain and, as such, enjoys a subtropical micro climate - average daytime temperature in January is 18°C and on average there are more than 3000 hours of sunshine a year. There are miles of totally unspoilt white sandy beaches in the area, many of which are fast becoming a mecca for windsurfers, kite-surfers, etc. Inland are vast areas of national park.

Ground floor: the pleasant and spacious living room has 2 large sofas and dining table/chairs; a second lounge houses TV and radio/CD player and sprung double bed settee. Fully fitted kitchen with fridge/freezer, oven, dishwasher, microwave, electric coffeemaker and toaster etc. Also on the ground floor is a twin bedroom and a large bathroom with 2 showers, washbasin and toilet. First floor: one big bedroom with twin beds, and two with double beds. All have fitted wardrobes. Bathroom with shower, washbasin, bidet and toilet. Master bedroom has ensuite shower room and outstanding ocean views.

Welcome to the Costa de la Luz...........: It is less than an hour’s drive from the airports of Gibraltar (served by Monarch and British Airways) and Jerez (Ryanair). I t is an hour and a half from Seville and two hours from Malaga - an easy route along the coastal N340. Amongst the specialities of the local cuisine is the locally caught tuna prepared in many different ways. There's a dozen or so restaurants along this stretch of coastline, mostly on the seafront, where you can enjoy anything from egg and chips to fresh giant prawns - and you may even be lucky enough to spot a school of dolphins swimming by!

Exploring Inland: For a change from the delights of the seaside, there is no shortage of places to explore. For a great day out, you could visit the sherry bodegas of Jerez and its famous riding school, see the fabulous sights of Sevilla, the capital of Andalucía, take the kids to the Isla Magica theme park, explore atmospheric Cadiz, Europe’s oldest city, or check out the Arab town of Tarifa, from where you can catch a fast ferry to old Tangier. For the latter, be prepared to make an early start to make the most of your trip.

Local Golf: For golfers, there are several excellent courses in the area, including Dehesa Montenmedio, Novo Sancti Petri and Benalup.
