Exquisite decor in a new post and beam timber frame vacation escape located near the shores of Moosehead Lake and the banks of the Moose River. “TimberStuga” is a romantic vacation hideaway, or a great family getaway. Surrounded by woods, near an old Indian trail where moose and deer traverse to the banks of the river and lake, this newly built log home is built with lots of attractive glass and various woods, both inside and out.

A Snowmobilers Dream, “TimberStuga” is perfectly sited for the area, nestled between river, lake and the Blue Ridge, it offers all the amenities you are sure to want in a vacation escape, with space more than ample for your family. View nature at its best while residing in an easily-accessible private setting within walking distance to a beautiful marina and country store just minutes from quality restaurants, boat rentals and watercraft.

This post and beam cabin has three bedrooms, a spacious kitchen and eating area.

Your hosts: Eric and Linda of the Olson & Carlson LLC. have vacationed, lived and recreated here for more than 50 years. We know the area, and can help you make your stay more accommodating and memorable. We have had the good fortune to own nearly 100 acres of woodlands here, which we now have the opportunity to share with you. We want you to enjoy your vacation or your special weekend. We look forward to hearing from you.

The Area: Located just twenty minutes from Greenville and twenty-five from Jackman; Rockwood Maine is in the heart of Moosehead Lake, with more than 540 miles of shoreline and 340 islands. Snowmobiles love the proximity to Route 66 and Maine's major trails! In Greenville, you will find a tourist mecca with all the shopping and eateries this rural treasure can be expected to offer, including air flights and boat trips, and museums to tell of this areas rich history. Just minutes from Jackman you will find white water rafting and outdoor adventure.

Snowmobilers will find this cabin as close to the intersection of Maine's major snowmobile routes as one could hope for! Hop right on Route 66 and sled! We have lots available for sale, as well in our Timber Run Estate.

Camp is virtually at the corner of the Northern Road and Lakeshore Road. 100 yards from Moosehead Marina.

View deer, moose, fox, birds, etc right out the front windows. A limited view of famous Mt. Kineo is available where you can golf, hike, fish and snowmobile depending on the season.

Most Relaxing Vacation EVER!!!

My boyfriend and I stayed in this home over Thanksgiving vacation...the house is absolutely beautiful, easy access to Moosehead Lake. There wasn't much to do there at the time we were there but all we were looking for was relaxation so it worked out great for us. There are lots of atv paths and moose watching and everyone we encountered was very friendly. The home was just so beautiful that we didn't even want to go anywhere! Eric and Linda were most pleasant to deal with, too. We highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to get away from it all!

My wife and I thououghly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cabin. We observed the wildlife from the dining area which included deer, eagle and a red fox! It was great to be in the wilderness and still enjoy all the conveniences of home. Easy access to lake and river fishing, boat /canoe rental, nature walks and hiking. This just may be Rockwood's best kept secret. We started planning next years trip the day we left. Note to true fishermen: numerous remote ponds in area, take Rt 15W to Demo Rd to Moose River for an unbelievable fishing opportunity. Good luck!!
