This family-friendly luxury 4 bedroom/4 1.5 bath home is truly exceptional! Located on a prestigious private drive on Key Allegro Island., this special place provides a quiet retreat where you and your family and friends can can both relax and play. You can enjoy fishing in Aransas Bay across from your front door, or in the canal behind the house, where a fishing boat can be docked, or the kids can swim. Or hire a local guide to take you fishing in the many nearby bays or in the Gulf of Mexico. Sip your morning coffee on our benches 10 feet from the edge of the bay beside our large bronze sailfish, or in the palm garden just outside the living room. Savor the sunset from the 2nd story balcony or just take in the surroundings from inside this well-lit and airy home with vaulted ceilings and large glass windows both front and back! Either dining out at one of many outstanding nearby restaurants or cook in using the large, well-appointed kitchen with island and bars on both sides.

The kids will love the calm beach and playscapes at the nearby Rockport beach park. While watching for dolphins, ride the ferry to Port Aransas and enjoy the expansive ocean beach and surf of the Gulf of Mexico. Or just relax down the street by the Key Allegro Island swimming pool and grab a bite at the marina restaurant. You are only 30 minutes from the State Aquarium and the USS Lexington aircraft carrier museum in Corpus Christi. Take a Whooping Crane tour at nearby Aransas Wildlife Refuge. Tour the historic Fulton Mansion just a few blocks away.

We had a wonderful time in May in this lovely, spacious home that has a close view of the bay. A very elegant and comfortable accommodation, this home has a lot of appeal. We enjoyed having morning coffee on the back deck while watching a colorful sunrise accommpanied by seagulls and pelicans. We also found several nearby excellent seafood restaurants.
This would be a great getaway for a family reunion or a gathering of friends who like to fish, beachcomb, jog or walk along the bay or just simply relax.
Owner's Response: Glad you enjoyed yourself. Next time try having your morning on the bench at the edge of the bay in front of the house. It's even more spectacular!

“We had a PERFECT visit, seeing two dolphins as we drove up to your SPECTACULAR house, which was so full of light and space! We enjoyed every minute and thank you for the gift of allowing us this family time to end our 2008 in joy, laughter and happiness. The rooms were each decorated with taste and the kitchen/dining area was where we spent the bulk of our time----it's so perfectly designed for giant gatherings around food and friendship. The master suite had a magnificent tub and bathroom---really, it could be an entire other room!---and walking on the beach in the moonlight was romantic, calming and spiritual. We can't recommend this beautiful home highly enough.”

Surrounded by Water!

We had a wonderful time. There are lots of windows which provide great views of the bay out front and the canal out back. You feel like you are surrounded by water. At night there is underwater lighting so that you can fish or just watch them. The downstairs master bedroom and bath is spacious and comfortable. The back deck is shaded in the afternoon which makes it enjoyable for visiting and cooking out. The kitchen is very nice and equipped with everything you need. There were four couples who went and it was so nice that each bedroom has a bath – no sharing!! This home is large, and just invites you to sit back and relax.

This home is indescribly beautiful. Everywhere you look has a view, the bay, the canal,or just the house itself. Coffee on the back porch, tea in the afternoon on the upper deck. I felt like I had visited a spa. The master bathroom is magnificent. a wonderful choice.
