Relaxing Winter Haven Lakefront Home

We spent three nights at this home during our recent visit to LegoLand Florida. In total we were 5 adults and three kids. We had plenty of space. It was nicer than it looks on the internet. The patio and lake view were amazing. We had breakfast outside every day just to enjoy the view. The grounds are well maintained and my 10 year old son truly enjoyed trying to fish from the dock. We vacation approximately 5 times per year and usually stay at condos or vacation homes and I must say that Dina has this house very well equipped for her guests. It is the small touches that made our stay even more pleasant (new sponge for dishes, dishwashing liquid, spices, coffee filters, a bottle of wine). Dina was very pleasant and easy to work with and I would definitely recommend this property to anyone travelling to the Winter Haven area. It is also very close to LegoLand (approximately 5 minutes).

We rented this home for 5 days in early June as a gathering place for family and friends in celebration of my niece's high school graduation. It was everything we had hoped for and more!

Dina, the owner, is terrific to deal with. She's very responsive via e-mail or by telephone. The home was immaculate and decorated in very good taste. The website pictures are 100% representative of the way the home really looks.

There were 3 adults and 2 teenage children sleeping at the house; and when all of the family was there for meals, there were 14 of us. The layout of the home provided plenty of space for everyone. Groups could visit in the family room, the formal living room, poolside, or down on the boat dock.

The neighborhood is very quiet and safe. Three of us got up and took an early-morning walk one of the days we were there. There is no concern for safety. Keep an eye out overhead for the huge osprey nests. Amazing!

Dina thought of everything when it came to the details: well-stocked bathrooms with everything from new toothbrushes to nail polish remover, even a hair dryer. There were plenty of beach towels for the pool, with a washer and dryer onsite, which was a must.

The kitchen was stocked with all the essentials, plus little things like condiments, herbs and seasonings, sugar, etc. -- there was even a bottle of wine for us in the fridge -- which saved us a LOT of money at the grocery store. All we had to buy was the big stuff, and we were good to go. We used the charcoal grill onsite for two of our meals.

There was a TV in the family room, the master bedroom, and the second bedroom containing the queen bed. The cable worked great, and the high-speed Internet was truly high-speed.

I can't say enough positive things about the pool and the screened in lanai. What a beautiful place to have your morning coffee and watch the sunrise over the lake. Of course, the kids l.o.v.e.d. swimming in the pool and spent hours splashing the days away.

There is access to the second bathroom directly from the pool area, which eliminates the problem of tracking water through the house while you're dripping wet. Truly, our days began and ended poolside.

It's not often I can say this about anything, but I have absolutely nothing negative to say about our stay here. It truly felt like our home away from home. When we return to this area for another visit, we won't hesitate to stay here again. Simply put: highly recommended!

We are two retired couples who shared this beautiful home the month of March 2010. We cannot say enough about the cleanliness, the beauty of the home situated overlooking the lake, the very clean pool, and the spacious rooms. We had no problem sharing with the four of us. It was in a very nice neighborhood where we could take walks and feel safe. I can't say enough about the great customer service we got from the owners. They were truly great to rent from and we would rent this place again without even thinking about it.
