Es Castell Vacation Rental : Cala Fonts

Having arrived i was pleasantly surprised at the charming architecture of this period property and its original features. Upon entering i made my way up the stairs and was pleased that the absense of a lift was more than compensated by the spacious apartment and its stunning views of the picturesque Harbour . This was to my mind best experienced at sunset when the lovely views across the Harbour and ajoining Med were lovely.
I found the Penthouse apartment to be well appointed ,clean and very spacious compared to other locations i had stayed for approximately the same price.The Bathroom was of a particularly high standard and added to enjoyment of my stay. I`m also pleased to be able to report that all mod cons were present ,and working ! during my stay.A pleasing contribution to a lovely holiday.
I found the loction of the apartment to be as stated and a short stroll to the numerous resturants and bars of the harbour, which in general were of a high standard and all very friendly and welcoming. Es Castell is also only a short way away from the port of Mahon and its extensive shops, authentic Tapas bars and resturants catering to all standards.
Although there is a beach in Es Castell it isn`t large to say the least, i found the location a good base to explore the small but varied isle and its numerous beautiful coves and idyllic sandy beaches .
My stay at the penthouse apartment was a very enjoyable experience and will hopefully return this year for, fingers crossed, two weeks ! Finances permitting !
