Photos and Description of the Solitude vacation condo rental 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s) - 2 Baths - (Sleeps 4-8)

This second floor unit is tastefully furnished and can comfortably sleep eight guests. Elevator access is provided from the lobby and the underground garage. There are lovely views of the ski runs and surrounding mountains from every room. The well-equipped kitchen has an adjacent dining area that seats six people with room for three more at the breakfast bar. The living room has a TV with VCR/DVD player, iPod speakers, a stone fireplace with gas log, a queen sofa sleeper, and access to the private balcony for viewing the sunset and the ski runs. The master bedroom has a king bed and a TV. The second bedroom, with its own sitting area, contains a queen bed, another queen sofa sleeper, its own bath, TV, DVD, and a kitchen-in-a-closet with a small refrigerator, microwave, and toaster. A separate entrance allows this bedroom unit to be locked off if desired. Free high-speed internet access (wired and wireless) and cable TV with 6 HBO channels are also provided.

Our spacious, two bedroom, two bath, ski-in and ski-out condominium is located in Powderhorn Lodge, in the heart of the Solitude Mountain Resort Village. Situated in Big Cottonwood Canyon, it is a scenic 13-mile drive through the Wasatch-Cache National Forest from the community of Salt Lake City, and only a 40-minute (33 mile) drive from Salt Lake City International Airport. The lengthy ski season, remarkable Utah snow, lack of crowds, and the quaint European-style village are among the features that make Solitude a premier ski destination.

Club Solitude: As our guest you will enjoy free access to Club Solitude, situated less than a one-minute walk from your front door. Your family can enjoy nightly movies in the cozy theater room and play foosball, Xbox 360, or board games in the game room. Just outside the Club are a heated pool and two more hot tubs. The Club also offers saunas, a fitness room, a billiard room, two computers with internet access and a printer, and a wonderful great room with a large fireplace.

Powderhorn 211: Our condo is in like new condition, and it has a great view of the ski runs and the village center. The lifts are a 3 minute walk from the front door, and you can ski back into the village to within steps of your door. When comparing other properties make sure that you ask about the view and the location. There are many units that have only a view of another building. Powderhorn 211 is in perhaps the most convenient location in Powderhorn Lodge, very near the newly remodeled lobby, garage, elevators, and ski lockers, and adjacent to the free laundry facilities. The second bedroom can be separated (and locked off if desired) for some privacy, and it has its own small refrigerator, microwave, toaster, dining table, and TV - that's been a hit with kids in the past. Ski storage is provided in a locker in the lobby so you don't have that clutter in the condo.

I had a wonderful experience skiing at Solitude. Tons of snow, beautiful lodge. Ralph and Cathy were so helpful and made the whole experience so easy.
Ralph was right there to help me when the snow storm hit for me to get my sister to the lodge. Awesome Vacation

Powderhorn 211 is a comfortable condo that's easy to relax in while you are staying at Solitude. Not only is the condo great, but so are Ralph and Cathy! They gave us a plethora of information to help us along, as well as great insider tips. In addition, Solitude is one of the greatest mtns to ski in Utah with a variety of terrain (even enough to scare the cliff-jumping backcountry lunatics that accompanied us). We will definitely be back!!

We just returned from our February trip to Solitude. Our condo was located in Powderhorn which is very convenient and centrally located. The owners were a pleasure to work with and we really enjoyed our stay. The two bedroom layout worked very well for our family.

We've rented many properties in many locations through VRBO over the years, and Ralph and Cathy set the standard for other owners to strive for! Both were very
professional and kind to deal with, and provided abundant information about the area and the property itself. They also forwarded plenty of "local knowledge"
including shopping tips, weather links, maps and lift ticket discounts. Most importantly - the condo is very nice, in a great location, with all the comforts of home.
It truly lives up to the description on the listing and their own website.

Solitude is a great family ski destination with so much to offer both on and off the mountain. We enjoyed skiing the blue runs and trails through the trees with the
kids, and found more challenging terrain for ourselves while they were happily entertained in the great ski school. We can't wait to go back!

We just came back from a February trip to Ralph's condo. We had a great time!! We were the max number of guests, but everyone fit comfortably. Solitude is a fun area, with plenty for the experts and beginners in our group. The lodge is VERY nice, and we loved Club Solitude!! The village is pretty quiet, but we had brought enough food for all our meals so that was not a problem. Thank you!! We'll be back.
