We love the peaceful hill country setting only 20 minutes from our house in central Austin. The Texas Hill County is a beautiful, different world. We discover wineries, lavendar and peach farms, outdoor markets, nature areas and hidden treasures every time we visit.
Our home, only minutes away from downtown Austin, allows you to enjoy the energy of Austin's vibrant music scene and night life; and the quiet solitude of country living. Sitting on the back patio, sipping a glass of wine from a nearby Texas winery(our gift to you),listening to the music of the chimes and watching the multitude of birds is the best way to unwind from life's stressors. We cherish our time here as will you.
This was our first time using VRBO and let me tell you, it made our vacation.
The owners were so helpful and alway responded immediatly whenever we had a question.
We got to the house and were amazed, it was even better than the pictures. The kids were thrilled by the pool, which we used everyday sometimes even by 7am. There were fresh linens, towels, spices, coffee, soaps and anything else you may need while staying. We grilled out, ate breakfast out, just took every minute we had to enjoy the serenity. We watched deer, heard the coyotes and even had some daddy long legs trying to join us. We were close enough to downtown, shopping, the zoo and hamilton pool that we never ran out of things to do. Yet, the house is in the country and you can enjoy the peace and quiet of the wildlife and seclusion. The only negative thing we had to say when we left was, we wish we had stayed another week. We will definitely be going back next year!!! Made a ton of memories and thankful for the amazing house that made the trip a relaxing vacation.
This is a beautiful home in a very quiet setting. The outside space was so relaxing. We used this house for our family when we can to Austin for a wedding. We enjoyed it very much. The third bedroom is quite small and really only accommodates one person, although there is lots of space in the living room as well. The owners were extremely helpful and provided all the information that we needed. We would definitely use this property again if the need arises and would recommend this property to our friends.
We loved our stay at Casa Mora! We only had three nights but could have easily stayed longer. The house is so comfortable and cute. The kitchen is well stocked and we enjoyed cooking dinner for family and friends. The Weber BBQ is super. Sitting by the pool for morning coffee, reading, and relaxing were our favorite times. Excursions to Austin were easy and also to Lockhart for the best Texas BBQ.
We enjoyed a bubble bath in the big clawfoot tub and a comfortable bed. Very quiet surroundings. Hope to be back someday. thank you for providing and exceptional vacation property for us!
We loved our recent long-weekend stay here! I would definitely recommend staying here - it's a beautiful home and property and we loved the pool too, of course. It's one of those homes where you feel welcome right away. :)
The owners were very helpful from the beginning and answered any questions we had and provided us with lots of info about nearby places and restaurants, which was really appreciated.
Hope to come back!
We just want to thank you for renting us your beautiful house. The kids loved the pool and the game room was fun for a late night adventure. It was nice to stay in a place that was well kept and clean. When we come back to Texas this will be our place of choice. Thank you.
Welcome to the Casa Mora-
Stay awhile and live the flora
Relax and hear the sounds
And enjoy the wildlife that abounds
Watch the sun set on evenin’ tides
The moon rise in starry skies-
Feel the wind breezin’ by
On sun filled days--- summer lies-
Hear the echo of life amidst the trees
Smell the fragrance of fallin’ leaves
Refrain from cares
And sift the tares
Amongst the thoughts
And always dare
To see life never bought
Only lived, only sought-
Sit and sip a bottle of wine
And think upon its giving vine
Let go of oft restraining time
Give way to youth within
Remember days when young again-
Travel this path where few will go
Down avenues of rocky roads-
Paved with life yet to live
Renewed in hope to others give—
More than a building to house within
Casa Mora is a new found friend
For those who need restful respite
And Glory of mornin’ light-
And in deep sleep filled darkened nights-
Finding life, finding sight---
Awake renewed in breathless wonder
Hear the rain and the thunder
Remember to pass this way again
On life’s journey and begin---
To find the breath of life anew
As flowers on mornin’ dew—
