This was a great spot. It is small but cozy and comfortably sleeps a surprisingly large number of people. The owner was easy to deal with and everything went very smoothly. It is also very quiet and the downstairs bedrooms have temperpedic mattresses which was such a nice treat. There are plenty of bathrooms as well and the downstairs bathroom is very nice.

There is central AC and heating but the upstairs can get a bit warm during the evening. Not sure if we had a vent closed.

All in all, an awesome experience and I am so glad we picked this house over others!

Recommended for: Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Girls Getaway, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children

Fabulous House with gracious owners

As a family of five on a budget I always thought it would be impossible to find a proper rental in the Hamptons. That's until we found the Valsamis house in August of 2008. Located only a 5 min drive from the beach this place is a great value for the money. The house has four well sized bedrooms and one of the bathrooms has a rain shower! The house was clean and in good shape. There is a grill and a lovely patio with a couch that's perfect for a afternoon nap. There is also an outdoor shower so you don't track the sand in the house.

As impressive as the house was it was the owners that made us return the following year. The dishwasher broke down on our first Wednesday. My husband called Mrs. Valsamis and was able to reach her right away. She had the repairman come by that afternoon and it was up and running by dinnertime. She was so pleasant and even made a follow up call to check in that everything was okay.

We are hoping to return this August. This house feels like a home away from home and I recommend it highly.

Recommended for: Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
