One of the most secluded spots on Deep Creek Lake in the mountains of Northwest Maryland. Deep Creek Hideaway is located one house from the end of Shoreline Drive on Thousand Acres, there is no traffic. Enjoy 100 feet of lake front on approximately an acre; a vacant wooded 100' lot to the East and a vacant wooded 250 foot lot to the West.
A wonderful lake front retreat for your family to enjoy. Re-decorated and updated in 2007, it has high ceilings, updated kitchen, plasma TV, two Jacuzzi-type tubs, lot of windows and light, great deck, private dock, canoe, fire pit, lounges and hammocks.
The dock is a great place to enjoy the sunsets and watch sailboat races on the lake.
The house was immaculate and everything we needed, very accommodating! The view of the lake was spectacular! I highly recommend the place, The property manager was very helpful throughout the entire process!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The place has everything you could want (even a Cuisinart food processor). My husband, our three children and two spouses, and our 20-month grandchild joined in on a week at the lake and we all agreed that it’s the best lake house we’ve stayed in. We always spend a week or two on a lake each summer for the last 12 years. It’s a great house and property!
The house is well maintained and nicely furnished. The beds were comfortable. My husband loved how the master bedroom was on a different wing of the house, very quiet. The common areas (dining, living, deck) are large. The deck is great and there is a well-maintained hot tub off it which we never used though it looked very inviting.
You are set back from the lake, not too far. You see the lake from the house and deck and because of the way they landscaped the property you feel close. Instead of undergrowth under the trees they somehow have moss growing from the deck all of the way to the lake. It’s a magical! The property is pretty level, easy walking for the 20 month-old. There is an extensive dock and seating by the lake with a fire ring, very nice. Nice place to watch the sunset. You are pretty insulated from the neighbors. It’s quiet and secluded.
We worked with Stevi Lutheran. She was marvelous in fielding our questions, etc. She’s top notch and made the rental process easy
House was great, very comfortable. View is excellent and loved the master bedroom. Would definitely recommend it any time of the year!
What you see on the website about this rental property is what you get... and so much more!! I was most impressed and pleased at the cleanliness and orderliness of the house, both inside and out.... from the fully stocked kitchen to the towels in the bathroom....to the firewood....to the chairs on the deck and lake side....to the magazines, video tapes, games, etc. The list goes on. There were six people in our party for a four-day stay and we absolutely loved the place and would stay again. The deck was a perfect place in the morning to enjoy a cup of coffee and watch the deer as well as early morning fisherman on the lake.
Also, making the reservations and working through the Cline Property Manager was a pleasant and rewarding experience. All my questions were answered in a very prompt and courteous manner and it made the overall booking process pain-free. Thanks for making our getaway special and for opening up your beautiful home. Superb accommodations and remarkable property! Again, my thanks!
House is well equipped and clean. Nice deck in front of house. Trees allow plenty of shade in back of house to lake. Lake had more traffic then thought since on main pass and is very choppy. There was some odor from pets that some of my family could not get used to. Should not be a problem for dog or cat lovers. The house was well kept, though. Owner was responsive to any and all questions. Thanks for letting us share your house.
Everything about the house was exactly as advertised. The house is clean and very well-maintained. The owner is responsive to communication and even called on our arrival date to make sure everything was ok. We're already making plans for another trip next summer.
The only con (depending on your point of view) is that it takes awhile (maybe 20 min) to get to the ski area, where most of the restaurants/attractions are located. If you're looking for a quiet retreat, though, this is the place for you.
I rented this home over a year ago & I can honestly say that I'm very upset with myself that I did not leave a review. R. Cline was great to work with! Communication was flawless. Any question I had did not go unanswered and emails were responded to in a prompt manner. He is truly professional and it shows that this rental home is not a "business" for him. This is a beautiful home and the owners could not be more gracious or accommodating. My group consisted of 4 working professionals and we enjoyed the amenities of our rental home. The home was in pristine condition with every spice, piece of cookware, and dish ware imaginable. We watched movies, read books, played games, enjoyed the fireplace, breakfast and dinners on the deck, and walks to the waterfront. It was a relaxing vacation and we will definately rent again at all times of year as the opportunities arise. Thank you R. Cline & family for letting us enjoy your home at the lake.
