Great Cottage for Experiencing Acadia

We have vacationed at Acadia about 20 times in the last 27 years. We stayed at the Cottage for two weeks and it was a great choice. It's fully equipped and then some. The barn was great for storage of all the bikes and other gear. Numerous markets are nearby for provisions, and a couple good restaurants too. The Cottage was great for our needs. We left early in the morning to hike, bike and whatever, to return in the evening to get ready for dinner. The place is equipped with all you need for your own lobster feasts. We did this several times. You have to follow the recommendations from the owner regarding local resources such as places to eat, where to get your fresh lobster, clams, mussels, etc. If you do, you'll get a real feel for the area, and you'll meet some friendly people too. The Cottage was equipped with everything we needed, even beach towels. The washer/dryer is large for doing loads of hiking/biking/swimming wash daily. The Cottage was everything as listed, it was great for us.
