1100 sq.ft. home, 2 BR, 1 bath, 2 ocean view decks, sleeps 4 to 5

Located 30 mins. south of Rosarito Beach, this 1100 sq. ft. two-level home w/ ocean view to north, west, and south, is in the quiet, picturesque guard-gated village of La Mision. The upper level offers an open floor plan w/ living room w/ electric fireplace, dining area, full kitchen, and north and south outdoor decks--all w/ ocean view. Decor features handpainted rustic Mexican furniture and tile floors. Garden (entry) level has spacious entry area with rolltop desk, plus two bedrooms, one w/ pillowtop queen bed and other with double and single beds w/ pillowtop mattresses. Enclosed garden has cobblestone paths and patio with BBQ. Drive your vehicle into attached garage w/ direct access to house and unload luggage. Outside automatic dusk-to-dawn lights guide you in the evening. We are one level up from a 2-mile long sandy beach. Easy beach access via stairs, concrete ramp or path. Rent horses. Go parasailing. Fish for surf perch.

Wildlife Viewing: Wildlife viewing includes migrating whales, resident dolphins, gulls, sandpipers, pelicans.

Entering the US from Mexico: All travelers entering the US from Mexico must present a valid passport, passport card, or other Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI) document.

Security: Guard-gated community. Secure parking in attached garage. Automatic dusk to dawn lighting.

Challenging golf at reasonable fees is available 10 mins. South at dramatic 27-hole Bajamar Oceanfront Golf Course and 25 mins. North at lush 18-hole Real Del Mar Course. Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency (US Dollar) unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.

Notes

  • Seasonal rates from $55 to $80 per night, $330 to $480 per week.
  • $40 cleaning fee. $125 refundable security deposit. 50% of total (rent + cleaning + security) to hold reservation. Payment in full prior to arrival. No refunds unless we can re-rent and then only for days rented at the rate rented, with a $40.00 service charge. Under special circumstances, we will provide bath towels. $10 laundry surcharge applies.
    2 night minimum. Holidays 3 night minimum. Prefer weekly in summer.
    Pay by personal check, cashier's check, money order, PayPal, credit card . Transaction fees for credit cards, PayPal.
    **All travelers entering the US from Mexico must present a valid passport, passport card, or other Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI) document. Beautiful location - Great house!

My husband and I loved this place! We stayed for two days and wished it could have been more. Location is ideal, with close proximity to an amazing beach (just walk down a path and there you are!). We spent a whole day watching dolphins from the deck!

The house it very accomodating. 2 Bedrooms with very comfortable beds. All the extra pillows you would need. Bathroom is clean with hot water. Kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pans, etc. They even provide dishtowels - so thoughtful. Living , dining and kitchen are on upper floors so you can enjoy the great views.The two decks are great and perfect for chillin' and sunbathing. The garage is nice to have, even though there is a guarded entry to the community. It;s within a small community on the beach which is very charming.

Overall, I highly recommend this little jewel, just 30-40 mins south of the border. Seems like you're worlds away from the hustle and bustle of the States, but yet so close.

We stayed here for a couple of nights in April. It was a great location, close to stores, beach and La Fonda which is where we needed to be for a wedding. The place has lots of space for dining both inside and outside. It is very clean and comfortable. The owners were fantastic in making sure the place was right for us. They also were very available for questions. I was very impressed with their attentiveness. Thank you for a great place to stay!
