Returning to Paris

We first stayed at this Rue madame flat four years ago. It was our first experience with renting and turned out so well, that we have rented other flats, each year since, on our annual return. When we learned that Rue Madamefwas available and redecorated, we jumped at the chance to return this year, when we visit Paris in September. The flat is in a great location, though the enthusiasm of children at school across the street might disturb your beauty rest. :-)
However, we look at it as part of the neighborhood experience. Aside from the economics of renting vs. a hotel room, it feels almost like we are part of the community.
The flat itself is fine for two, though the fold out sofa will allow room for a family with one or two children. The elevator, as is typical of older French buildings, is small by American standards, so it will take a couple of trips for two people and two pieces of luggage. It's a minor inconvenience.
As for the location, it's just a few blocks from the busy Boulevard St. Germaine. We love the Mabillion area nearby and its wealth of reasonably priced restaurants. There is also a crepe stand on the Boulevard across the street East of Deux Magots. The nutella crepes are always part of our paris experience. And, back in the Mabillion, our favorite restaurant is La Machon, a charming bistro with a reasonably priced prix fixe menu. There is nothing more to say except thank you to Sophie and Phillipe for making us feel so welcome!
