This immaculate getaway is fabulous for visitors to the city looking for a mix of modern and traditional San Francisco charm as well as a desire for privacy and quiet. Enjoy the peaceful 30’ x 60’ sunny yard, soak in the hot tub, or walk to the nearby historic Haight St. or Fillmore neighborhoods. You are steps away from bus routes, and access to the nearby Golden Gate park, Golden Gate bridge is easy. The 2000 Sq Ft. affords a spacious layout, with each of the three bedrooms offering privacy and quiet from the living areas. The master bedroom is equipped with a luxurious new King bed with egyptian cotton white sheets, a working fireplace, a private and warm sun room with porch as well as a fold-out sofa bed for extra guests. Additional portable sleep units can be added to go beyond the 10 people accommodated by permanent beds.

Table expands for up to 12 persons. --Living Room w/ wood floors, bay window & plantation shutters. Approx. 16’x14’ --1 full bathroom w/ pedestal sink, slate floors & clear glass shower/tub doors. -- 50' plasma TV, BLU-RAY DVD, VCR, HD cable and WiFi all included.

That ranking paired with the multiple bus lines (the 31, 5, 21 and 43) make this central location a great place to experience the complete range of San Francisco's diverse neighborhoods and exciting attractions. Parking is very easy and includes the right to park in front of the driveway.

Everything promised . . . and more!

This home is as good as it gets. I could not have been more pleased with the home, service and location. The home was spotless and the owner was attentive to making sure that all my needs were met during my six week stay. Great for family gatherings. My friends and family celebrated Thanksgiving and Christmas with full dinners prepared in the well equipped kitchen - including generous use of cooking utensils, china and spices in the cabinets. The pictures absolutely represent the home. The location is convenient to MUNI transit (no car needed!), shopping, groceries (Trader Joe's and Lucky's within a few blocks), dining, Golden Gate Park, the Panhandle, deYoung Museum, California Academy of Sciences, the Presidio, public golf courses, Haight Ashbury, the ocean and Golden Gate Bridge - everything that I wanted in San Francisco. I will not hesitate to return to my "home" in San Francisco. The best!!! Enjoy.

Eight Days, Seven Nights -- Six Chicks

We were a group of six girls from Alberta, Canada who travelled to San Francisco to run in our first ever 10K race. We consider ourselves fortunate to have had the opportunity to stay in this exceptionally beautiful home of Rob's. It exceeded our expectations and was the perfect place to "come home to" every night. The kitchen (with the laptop and iPod docking station that Rob lent us) was grand central. It was stocked with every amenity imaginable including a wine fridge. We were so comfortable in the three bedrooms and by far one of the best showers is the one in the main bathroom upstairs with views through the skylight while enjoying a "rain" shower. The backyard is incredible with the pond and cabana like hot tub.

It is obvious Rob takes great pride in his home and was the consummate host. We were in contact with him prior to our visit and he was fantastic with recommendations for everything from shopping venues to the wonderful Kubaki theatre in Japantown where we took in "This is It" one evening. During our stay he was always available by text if we had any questions and stopped by a couple times to assist with our familiarization with the varied electronics etc. in the house!

Transportation to and from the house was simple; 31 to downtown, 5 to the beach and 43 / 30 to the Wharf. Highly recommend the Muni Pass for unlimited bus, underground and cable car rides. A grocery store is a short walk away and the house even came equipped with a handy rolling shopping cart for your first stock up of the kitchen. The Panhandle and Golden Gate Park were easily accessible by foot or by bus as was the beautiful Ocean Beach.

The neighborhood felt very safe. Our first night out was Halloween and we dined at a restaurant on Haight Street. Quite the sights of people in costume and a street closed off to vehicular traffic had a couple "haunted houses" for people to tour. It was an easy walk to and from the Haight Ashbury area -- which has a very cool vibe, interesting shopping and great variety of restaurants.

If you get a chance, hike up Buena Vista Park located a few blocks south of the house -- great views of the city from this vantage point.

We would highly recommend this house and, without a doubt, our hearts will always hold a special place for this home with the red door and its gracious, kind hearted host.

Fantastic stay in this San Francisco property!

10 of us stayed at Rob's house in October 2009. We were 6 adults and four kids (ages 3-6), and got together for a family reunion. We could not have picked a better home to stay in: the house was everything we expected, very clean and comfortable and well appointed, with plenty of room for the 10 of us. It was a pleasure being able to sit on the terrace outside and just enjoy breakfast/dinner together in a relaxing environment, the kitchen was modern and had everything we needed. There's a large supermarket 2 minutes away (by foot), and a bus stop at the corner of the street that takes you downtown in no time. Rob was also very helpful in helping us plan our Califronia vacation, offering tips and suggestions that were very appreciated.

Thanks for everything Rob, our stay was a tremendous success and we would recommend your property to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area!

A Wonderful Flat in San Francisco

We recently rented this flat as a base for my daughter's wedding. It was a perfect fit for our needs of the weekend. It was a great gathering spot for all of the out of town family and friends. It felt so at home. I would definitely recommend it for your stay in San Francisco! The owner was most accomodating and a great guy to work with! There wasn't one thing that I can think of that was not stocked in the flat. You won't want to leave! Great place!

THE BEST WEEKEND EVER!!!

We went to San Francisco to celebrate a long weekend with our bride to be with her with bridesmaids and mom and couldn't have picked a better place. Everything was made perfect not only because the house and grounds were so spectacular but Rob was the best! He went out of his way to meet all our expectations and beyond. It was wonderful to have a beautiful house to relax and enjoy each other's company. A great deck, yard and hot tub, a large dinning room table to gather for meals, hugh TV for viewing our videos, 3 FULL baths, comfy beds, exquisite Victorian details...I could go on and on! We were close to shopping (us girls loved that!), parking right at the house, transportation was easy and we walked safely through the neighborhoods. We are all looking forward to staying at Brownstone again. A must for anyone wanting to have all the comforts of home while vacationing at this exciting city. Loved every moment! Thanks, Rob for being the best host we could have asked for. Stay here, you won't be disappointed, truly. I have already recommeded this home and I just got back tonight.
