It is often said that Nerja is the jewel in the crown of the Costa del Sol.There are endless places to explore if you can tear yourself away from a cold drink on the terrace! Flanked to the east by dramatic mountains, Nerja has remained charmingly unspoilt and the old town is virtually unchanged with winding cobbled streets and whitewashed houses.
Burriana beach has plenty of watersports, there are local tennis courts and golf is just a 15 minute drive as are waterparks. Nerja Caves are very famous and just a stone's throw away. You must visit Frigiliana, one of the famous 'white villages' of Andalusia or drive back to Malaga for great shopping and sightseeing. Drive to Granada to see the Alhambra Palace or ski in the Sierra Nevada mountains just 90 mins away. This area of Spain is unsurpassed in historical and cultural richness. Having been ruled by the Moors for longer than anywhere else in Spain, this has left its mark on the language, customs and culture of this unique region.
