No need for TV

Two of our four girls (ages 9, 11, 11, 13) have never seen snow before. We decided to give it to them for Christmas this year instead of a pile of useless gifts. It took a little Google-ing and a few good reviews (the kind you are reading right now), and we got the Eagle cabin.
We anticipated a tense trip from Sarasota County, FL through the frozen GA tundra (it was 19F!) to the snowed-in mountains of NC. However, the gods of traffic kept the roads clean and dry all the way to the last street. Walking up the mountain in knee-deep snow felt great after almost 12 hours of drive. The kids were in ecstasy.
The cabin was immaculate, warm and spacious. It smelled nice and was very welcoming. There were seven sleds for us to choose from! The driveway is about 100 yards long. Need I say more?! Actually, I do: if you can deal with the switchbacks and have the skill (everyone did by the second day), it takes 3 minutes to sled down to the end of the street without stopping!!!
The area is tranquil and beautiful. We’d like to see it in all seasons.
There are five TV’s in the cabin, but we managed to not turn on any. The pool table and the card table along with the fire place went great with hot chocolate. We had four days of total bliss in and out of the place. We managed to stay in the “now” the entire time. We will definitely be back next year!
Thanks
