Gorgeous Muskoka Dream Cottage! Located in the heart of Muskoka Lakes, this luxurious cottage for friends, family or both provides a spa feeling, combined with country flair. Hiking, canoeing, swimming, hot tubbing, games room playing, cooking, bbqing, bike riding...whatever your heart desires...this vacation rental has it all.
My family of 5, extended family of 7 AND friends of the family (5 more) stayed at this vacation rental and had a fantastic time. The cottage was clean, spacious and had all the comforts of home and then some! Jesse (property mgr) provided excellent customer service-- Thank you! If we were to travel to the Port Carling/ Bala area in Muskoka again we would definitely book this rental.

Review #9274954 “Warm, Relaxing, Fun!!!” My partner and I rented this cottage for just under 2 weeks. Dealing with Jesse, the Property Manager and Ian, the Owner, was like dealing with warm family members...that is exactly how they made us feel. The cottage is wonderful and full of fun things to do especially with all the toys and games in the basement. The rooms are beautiful and the beds are all comfortable and well appointed. The kids loved the walk in sandy area and large floating island. The water toys were fun and plentiful!!! Everything about this cottage was warm and comfortable. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves especially on a rainy day when we enjoyed a Hot Tub, Sauna and Drinks Day!!! We loved gathering around the huge dinner table to play one of the many, many games provided. There was never a dull moment!!! Jesse and Ian were such a pleasure to deal with we truly feel like we've made new friends!!!
Everything was absolutely amazing! JR made us feel so comfortable when booking. He was just as excited as we were for the Bachelorette. He planned everything in advance for us so that upon our arrival everything was perfect!
Our stay was perfection! We had the best time! There were enough beds to sleep 14 and enough seating for all of us to eat and hang out together. They also set up a raft for us to hang out in the water and the muskoka chairs and loungers on the balcony were perfect to hang out in the sun. Thank you JR and family for the most memorable Bachelorette Party!! Best time!! We will be back soon!!

Owner's Response: We are so grateful to have such wonderful guests like you! You are always welcome back. Thank you for being so kind in your review.
A good lot of my friends and I went up to spend family day long weekend up north. We just simply couldn’t have asked for anything better! The cottage is a little piece of paradise. It has a cozy and spacious living room, with high ceilings and coaches notorious for making you fall asleep their so comfy. The rest of the rooms are equally as beautiful, with soft, fresh and comfy linens. The games room downstairs provides for great any time of day indoor entertainment. The sauna is an excellent addition, quite fitting for the chilly weather we had when we were up there. The views of the lake are serene! The kitchen is spacious and the wooden long table was perfect to fit the whole lot of us and the feasts we shared. Jesse was so delightful when planning and was readily available when we had any questions, even though he was on vacation! The rest of the cottage is detailed with plenty of family heirlooms and collectible items that have you gazing for hours on end. The stones fireplaces are a nice touch, wifi is good for any picture sharing or updating emails and the TV’s cable was ideal for watching men hockey at the Sochi Olympics. The cottage sits in its own humble pocket of forest, but Bala and Port Carling are just a short drive away. All in all, it was the perfect weekend for us. I will sure be back in the summer time where we can take a dip in the lake off the dock outback. Sending our gratitude to the Rolins for sharing their special place with us!
Our family of 5 stayed at this wonderful cottage for a long weekend winter retreat. With three young kids (ages 8-12), this cottage had the perfect mix of indoor and outdoor activities; they loved the games room and we all had great ping pong and pinball tournaments. The lovely, cozy and relaxing environment in such a gorgeous natural setting was the ideal spot for reading, cuddling (in deep comfy leather couches), and singing songs in front of the stone fireplace. The large wooden table allowed us to work together on a big puzzle project and a big lego construction project (and still have room for family dinners). Although the cottage had TVs, we never turned them on once. (We did appreciate having the wi-fi though – to be able to send pictures to our friends and family). The beautiful view was enjoyed by all. The furnishings and fantastic large kitchen made us feel right at home and comfortable. The sauna was a luxurious and decadent treat. Dealing with Jesse and Ian was a pleasure and they made us feel like welcomed guests. We really appreciated the owners accommodating our Golden Doodle, who loved bounding through the snow drifts and curling up in front of the fire. The cottage was private, but a short drive away were shopping and restaurants in Bala and Port Carling. All in all, a very special place and an ideal get-away spot for families and friends. We would love to return in the spring/summer!
We cannot say enough about our weekend stay at this lovely cottage. Our large family (made up of a few small families) journeyed to the great white north on wintery roads to engage in a weekend family Christmas getaway. This year we decided to try something new - to go to common ground instead of inflicting the wrath of a large family get together on someone's house - and we weren't disappointed.
The cottage looks modest from the driveway; equally so when standing at the front door. But don't let that fool you - a pleasant surprise awaits when you open the door. The best way to describe the cottage is upscale yet unassuming and definitely not pretentious.
We were concerned the cottage would not have the amenities to house our large group -- it did not disappoint! The main floor is expansive and open plan. A well equipped kitchen makes cooking a breeze. The furniture is comfortable and plentiful. Their family pictures hung around the cottage simply add to the charm. The games area in the basement was well utilized - with sports memorabilia to drool over. The bedrooms and beds were comfortable and fresh. The master bedroom is a special place in and of itself - with an ensuite bath, laundry closet, office desk area, fireplace and spectacular views! Washrooms throughout were well equipped - the housecoats were a nice added touch.
The most amazing thing is how welcoming it is...warmth and character ooze from the place! If you are looking for chic and sophisticated, this isn't the place for you. If elegant, comfortable and upscale appeal to you, this cottage fits the bill.
Everyone from this large family gives it a thumbs up!

Families with Teenagers,
Owner's Response: What wonderful guests you guys are! You really captured the details of our cottage, and most importantly know what our cottage is all about, family, fun and enjoying the beauty of Muskoka. You are always welcome back and we feel so honored to have gotten to know you. Hope to see you again when the flowers bloom and you can see another side of our cottage.
Live in the Great Canadian North in Style. Bala is known for its yearly cranberry festival. This quaint, charming town is within 5 minutes by car and supplies everything you will need for your vacation. Port Carling is 10 minutes away. The cottage is situated on its own 10 Acre forest and waterfront. The lake is clean and warm in the summertime. Enjoy the autumn foliage at this luxurious country home.
(*Please note...outdoor hot tub might be closed during the winter session due to pipe freezing threats...but indoor Sauna will keep you relaxed and pampered)
