If you only like the best and if you are particular about how you live.... Then our home is for you. Our beautiful mountain retreat in North Asheville is high on Elk Mountain in the Beaverdam area. It's private, charming and refurbished the way you would do it yourself. As you walk in the door, a deep calm overcomes you. The beautiful long range mountain views from the 20' wall of windows welcomes you to the oversized two level deck. Wonderful mountain breezes are usually both during the day and evening. This makes day dreaming and star gazing a most wonderful past time. Wake up from your bed to views of Mt. Pisgah and Town Mountain.

Downtown Asheville is only 4 miles away. Dozens of dining establishments are everywhere, all types of food, those that are privately owned as well as all the chains. Asheville also has a mall within 5 miles from our home. Want to walk the dog around Beaver Lake? No problem, the lake is just 1.5 miles away. Want to visit the YMCA, or would you prefer the world class spa offered at the Grove Park Inn? No problem, both are within 1.5 miles from Black Oak.

Great retreat home for women

This is a fabulous place to stay while you enjoy Asheville and the surrounding area. Close enough to town that you won't spend alot of time driving for close in activities, but far enough away to enjoy the scenery and the quiet. Six women shared the house and we were all very comfortable in our bedrooms and, the gathering areas were arranged so that it was easy to relax with plenty of room. The house was extremely clean and had all the amenities. The owner was very accomodating and made sure we had everything we needed and made it easy to contact her. This is a great place for families or groups.
