Wow! What a wonderful home! We truly enjoyed our week-long adventure. Jim was very helpful in directing us as to what to do, and where to go. We appreciate all his help. The home itself was absolutely gorgeous. The view, the decorations, the amenities...everything was fabulous. We were just a bit disappointed that the jetted hot tub was out of order, as we planned on using that every night, but the wonderful three-head shower in the upstairs bathroom almost made up for that! The fishing was terrible. Those pike have really cleaned out the lake, which is supposed to have trout, and salmon according to a tourist book we picked up in Anchorage. That's okay though. I'd forgotton what the sound of "nothing" was like! Sitting in the middle of the lake, in a canoe for an hour reminded me. Wow. Not even the sound of birds, or wind! It was wonderful. We really appreciated all the extras that came with the house. Plenty of towels and washcloths, toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, spices, soaps, shampoos, laundry detergent and dishwashing detergent...everything you usually have to buy when you go on vacations like this. It was a really nice change. We used the grill every night to cook our food, which we were able to shop for in Wasilla (only about a half hour away) for reasonable rates. I wish the weather had been just a little bit better, as it did rain a little bit every day. That's okay too...we hadn't seen rain in Texas since May! Overall, one of the best trips we've ever taken. Thanks for helping to make it all so wonderful.
