Cozy up in this mountain view log cabin located at road's end. Comfortable, secluded ~ it's a real getaway from it all! If mountain climbing is your thing, you're going to love it here! The cabin has a front porch that's great for bird watching. There's a large deck and a screened in porch in the back, perfect for using the gas grill and eating outdoors. The kitchen is fully equipped with anything needed to make a meal and clean up. The living room area has a comfortable leather couch, matching leather chair with footstool and a double recliner. In the living room area for your entertainment, there is a 32' HD television with HD satellite service and a VCR/DVD player. The large master bedroom has a full sized bed and the master bath has a jacuzzi and a washer and dryer. Upstairs in the large, L-shaped loft, there is a game area with many games to play, a futon that sleeps 2 and a full sized bed that sleeps 2. There is a small bath with shower in the loft area.

Snuffy's Shack is located within a few miles of the North Carolina border, approx 8 miles from Hiawassee and approx 22 miles from Clayton. Lake Chatuge and Hiawassee River are both located within the city limits of Hiawasee. Helen GA, a Bavarian village, is a popular tourist spot and is located about 22 miles from Hiawassee. 'Bavarian Nights of Summer' featuring an Oompah band will be a featured activity on July 19 and July 26. Kids and adults enjoy the water tubing in Helen. There are several winery tours in the area. Ruby Falls, Toccoa Falls and Tallulah Falls are beautiful waterfalls nearby. There are many, many activities in this area, enough to keep you busy for a while!

  • The master bedroom is a large, comfortable room with a dresser/mirror and a chest of drawers. The second bedroom is upstairs in the loft area. The loft area is quite large and L-shaped. The full sized bed is located on one end with a small bath and an outside door that leads to a balcony. There is a dresser with mirror for storage and futon that makes into a double bed in the middle area. On the other end of the loft, there are books to read and games to play.

Very quiet and peaceful. Beautiful views and so close to other places. Lots of things to do nearby or just relax at the cabin and do nothing! All 4 seasons are very enjoyable from this lovely cabin. You will hate to leave and go home!

Beautiful,Secluded Mountain Getaway

We had a wonderful time at Snuffy's Shack.The cabin has everything needed for a restful mountain getaway.Beautiful view,porch and deck for reading or just relaxing.Inside was clean and beautifully decorated.
There is lots to do in this area. We rode over to Helen,Ga.,visited 2 state parks and went to Blue Ridge,Ga. to ride the train.Our 5 days passed so quickly ,we wish we could have stayed longer.
I would highly recommend Snuffy's Shack for a wonderful mountain vacation.

Close to Helen, Clayton. Commerce outlet mall is one hour away. The view is great! No trouble finding the cabin with directions provided. Cabin is clean and well decorated. We could not have asked for anything better!!
