Diamond Vista is located on the pristine Diamond Lake! With it breathe taking views, great location, and beauty, Diamond Vista is a place you will want to come back to year after year. This home sleeps 6 with 3 full beds. The open layout of the house lets the sunshine in every room, but don’t worry, each sleeping space is private. The master suite features a wall of windows and access to the deck overlooking the lake. You will enjoy your private bathroom with a jetted tube a & separate shower. The second bedroom is just around the corner & the third sleeping area is upstairs in the loft with a private balcony. The Diamond Lake private beach access is just steps away, & offers sandy beaches, picnic tables, barbeques, docks, volleyball nets, and nice lawns to relax on. Spend the evenings on the deck overlooking the lake & enjoy a barbeque. Bring the toys, there is room to park a boat and trailer and the boat launch is just minutes away.

Relaxing, Lazy Get Away

It is a comfortable home for a low key and relaxing stay. If the weather is nice the outdoors and surrounding area has swimming, hiking, walking, boating to offer during summer time. If the weather is on the windy, chilly, rainy side, bring your own indoor entertainment or activities e.g. books, games. The TV does not work and the DVD player is unreliable. This is not a pet friendly property. This property is managed by a property management company. Be sure to ask all your questions up front before signing the contract. Also, there is a crawl space cover that protrudes into the drive way. It is plywood covered in roofing paper. You can not see from your car and definitely can not see it at night. My tire brushed up against a corner of the plywood and I am being told it is considered substantial damage and charged for all the repairs. I was also told they just had it fixed last week. I do not know total sum I will be charged, but wanted to post this to provide future renters a heads up.
Owner's Response: Diamond Vista does have a lot to over to the adventurers looking to spend some time outside. There are a few card games at the property and nearby Newport offers movies theaters, live theater, and movie rentals for those rainy days. Selkirk Vacations (the management company) is always available for any problems at the property including difficulty with the TV. Keep in mind this is considered a rural setting, so although the TV is digital ready only 1 channel comes in, but with beautiful Diamond Lake across the street, most vacationers are too busy playing outside to be worried. The problem with the crawl space cover is noted and I have taken precautions to prevent it from occurring again. It is a new cover, as the original cover that was built with the house was grimy looking and worn from weather and regular use. Thank you for the reviews, we are always looking for ways to make vacations here more enjoyable.

nice & roomy

The house was very nice and the living area was roomy. The view was good, a bit of a hike to the lake. The jacuzzi tub did not work. If you plan to cook much, you will need more pans, seasonings, etc. Don't forget ice! Too cool in Aoril to sit on the deck, but it looked like it would be very nice in summer! A few games (cards or board) would have been appreciated. Overall, it was a very nice stay and we would recommend the house.
Owner's Response: Thank you for your review, the view is breath taking. Upon your suggestion the house has been stocked with more cooking supplies and spices. A few card games have also been supplied. The Jacuzzi tub is functional, but can be difficult to figure out so instructions of use have been posted and remember Selkirk Vacations is always available for any questions or problems during your stay.
