A Little Bit Amazing

I arrived at #31 Canto Del Mar happy, having just spent a few days in a nice place in Tamarindo, but wanting for more of the real Costa Rica, its beauty and people, and less of the more developed and crowded areas I had just visited. As soon as I walked in the door, I knew I had made a great choice in visiting Dominical, but most importantly in my choice of accommodations.
The architecture and choice of furniture (as well as the surround-sound stereo with iPod jack included for streaming tunes from your music player or laptop throughout the house and outdoors) were superb. As well, the bedrooms were well arranged, with very clean, comfortable beds, and superb adjoining baths for each room. I slept on the single, large bed, but my friends in the twin beds next door were just as pleased.
There is a flat screen television downstairs for watching dvds or playing games, but you have to bring your own gaming system. We had a nice movie night down there on the night before our departure back for the US. As well, there are books and boogie boards available for loan in the closet, in case you get tired of sitting outside and simply soaking-in the beauty and wonder of this place.
Back to the view...the balcony/porch area are very well laid out and make for an ideal place to sit and think, eat dinner, have a drink, or even relax in the adjoining mini-pool. As well, from here you can really appreciate the benefit of being at the top of a ridge, and the perspective that gives as you with panoramic views of everything from the sky all the way to the sand.
The kitchen and inside dining / sitting quarters are clean, open, and as exceptional as the rest of the place! Also, there is a full size fridge with freezer, and full-size cooking facilities with utensils, bowls, plates, etc.
Even though there is a.c. throughout the condo, we found ourselves opening the windows and letting the breeze, and sounds of the jungle and the ocean fill our senses. (A nice contrast to our first night in San Jose at a famous place that had no a.c. where you did need it!)
The staff was exceedingly kind and extremely helpful and we got the feeling that Ignacio and Laurence really cared about the quality of our time spent with Tekoa.
Even the intimidating armed guards at the front (yes, you can feel safe here), became fast friends, and provide a level of comfort in the knowledge that they are constantly on patrol to maintain a safe environment.
