Completely renovated lake cabin on Bay Lake, 2 hours north of the twin cities. This lake home has all the amenities of a new cabin but has kept the original charm. Authentic log and fieldstone home on a large lot overlooking the lake. A total of 5 bedrooms with 3 queen size beds a full and two twins beds. Separate dining room, living room and wonderful screen porch. The private dock accommodates boats of all sizes. A private floating dock is included for sunbathers and swimming. Furnished with charming antiques, this cabin rents 895.00 per week.We also offer a midweek rate, Tues-Fri for 595.00, or a weekend rate Fri-Sunday for 495.00 Golf course and fine family restaurants close by. Pay Pal preferred method of payment

excellent week on Bay Lake

We had a great week at the cabin. The cabin had enough supplies of dishes, etc for large group (10 of us). When we arrived the cabin was clean and ready for our family. There is a kayak and canoe along with some supplies in the boathouse (oars, life jackets, etc) if something has been overlooked in packing. We did not pull the floating dock out into the water but that was an option. There is great fishing in the lake and we pulled in many keepable pike and found a good location for sunny fishing. Garrison and Brianerd are nearby. We did a launch on Mille Lacs for Walleye and did well. Comfortable beds and a comfortable cabin. We will likely plan another vacation in this cabin. Thanks

Immaculate, FULL of charm. The perfect lake cottage. The lake is pristine, great fishing, fabulous views. We have already booked again for next year!

Nice cabin, but......

Well, to start, I arrived at the cabin before the other members of my family. I unlocked the door, but it would NOT open; the doorknob turned, it was obviously unlocked, yet the door wouldn't open. I called the owner's cell phone and left a message saying I couldn't get into the cabin, and to please call me back. I NEVER got a return call! I had to wait outside for an hour until my husband arrived, and he somehow got the door to open. Several times during our stay, we couldn't get it to open from the inside either. What if there had been a fire? The other exit was on the other side of the cabin, and this cabin is quite large. We found that there were no working smoke alarms and the fire extinguisher was missing. Also noticed an outlet with no cover on it, so not safe for small chldren. The bathroom door needed a new doorknob also, it would come off in your hand.

The description says firewood is available. There were some big log chunks piled in the yard, but no way to split them, therefore they were unusable. Had we known we needed to bring an ax we would have. Just would have been nice to have everything spelled out so we knew what we needed to bring.

It IS a very charming log cabin, furnished very nicely. It could have been cleaner; there were dirty towels left in the bathroom and furniture was dusty. Not a real big deal to us, but every other cabin we've stayed in was spotless upon our arrival.

We did enjoy our stay. Bay Lake provided good fishing opportunities, which is our main activity during vacations. I would recommend the cabin to familes, as long as the safety issues were taken care of.
