The cabin & furnishings were great-down to earth and comfortable. Beds were great to sleep in-very comfortable. Lots of room for ten people to eat, sleep, and relax. Plenty of dishes & utensils for 10.All appliances worked very well. Great dock area for boat & fishing. Lake is beautiful. Had great experience with owner-very helpful and friendly.
Downside for us-some maybe because of storms early in month: Owner hadn't had time to give kitchen, dining rooms, bathroom good cleaning after workers were there before we arrived, so had to do a cleaning when arrivied. Which was OK as was happy owner allowed us to stay there(earlier guests had to be cancelled). Had a great time around firepit-tho it needed all of last years ashes removed. We had to purchase our own fire wood-the few pieces there needed splitting, but no ax to be found. Nice large yard-Tho would like to see it when all areas are cleaned up & weed whipped, would be much prettier. A good amount of lawn furniture, tho again & maybe because we were there early June & after storms, several of the benches & chairs needed preparing, fixing or replaced for season. Canoe was used, worked good. Would suggest owner has garage, storage area cleaned up so when guest go looking for items to use as described on website, items can be found & in good shape. New charcoal grill needed(legs rusted off one there-tho made due by setting in huge fry pan found lying in yard). Never did see a tennis court nor a working patio.
Overall, my family & I had a wonderful time, would stay here again if ever decide to fish that area again. Just suggest that a major seaon opening cabin cleaning from top to bottom be done & a good yard person be hired and the place would be "excellent"

Owner's Response: I appreciate that the vacationers had a nice time. Having said that, I feel some what upset about the reports of the condition of the property. The home had been very damaged by tornadoes and we did our best to get it up and running to meet their reservation dates. Many things had been damaged, such as the outdoor furniture, grill etc. The cabin had been opened and cleaned professionally prior to their visit, but we had a construction crew in repairing things until moments before they arrived. I made this very clear and they did not object to the fact that it may not be in perfect condition. The garage will be cleaned after the construction crew departs.
