Lake Michigan and Sleeping Bear dunes are a short drive away. Famous Interlochen Arts Academy offers concerts throughout the summer.

Great Summer Getaway!

We recently stayed at the property for an extended family vacation and had a great time! The property was very clean and spacious enough for a large group of adults and kids. We all had plenty of room. We enjoyed having our coffee on the deck each morning. The kids loved swimming in the outdoor pool on the complex and playing water basketball. We went into the darling town of Frankfort and enjoyed shopping, ice cream and the beach. The fellas even got some golf in at one of the nearby courses. All in all, it was a wonderful vacation and I would absolutely recommend the property to other families. We would like to go back during the winter for skiing!!

GREAT PLACE!!!!

Recently stayed with a large group for a fall golf weekend...the place was extremely spacious and had all the amentities one could ask for...it was very clean and in close proximity to several top tier golf courses!!! This place is great for large groups/families and would be ideal for a summer vacation (as there are several beautiful lakes in the area), or a winter vacation to go skiing!!! The customer service shown by the owners was also topshelf and their communication before and after the stay was outstanding...I will no doubt rent this property again!!!

Awesome Place!

We stayed here in August for a weekend family golf getaway. All I can say is we will be back again and again! The house was perfect and had everything that we needed and then some. Amy was great to deal with and made sure that everything was in order for our stay. The kids had so much room and none of us were on top of eachother. Crystal is a great place for families of all ages. We'll be back again next summer for sure and definately will stay here again! Thanks for providing such a wonderful home for us to rent. I would STRONGLY recommend this property to anyone you won't be disappointed!

Would not recommend

We recently rented 8 properties for a family wedding and this place was the only place I would not recommend. Old, not very nice furnishings and poor customer service. It was the only place that charged a damage/security deposit and refused to return it for things that were clearly not damage, just normal cleaning items, such as laundering towels, washing the few dishes that we missed in our dishwasher load, picking up a few cigarette butts outside, hosing the cement after a garbage bag that leaked outside on the concrete. When I explained that none of this could be considered damage and we had in fact paid a cleaning fee which should have handled this, they said sorry but they were keeping the entire damage deposit. No other place that we rented that weekend asked for a damage deposit, just a cleaning fee. This was a setup and I felt completely taken. Never again would I rent here or recommend anyone to do so. I can give you a long list of really nice places in the area. And the wedding was great, Crystal Mt. puts on a great buffet with wonderul service. A great place to visit, just don't stay at this house.
Owner's Response: Regretfully we did have to hold this security deposit but imagine pulling up after the renters had left and finding out that your entire property had been toliet papered! We incurred additional cleaning fee's to cover the clean up of the toliet paper that covered our landscaping and was thrown 30 feet up into all of our trees on the outside of our home along with additional garbage clean up as it was not properly taken care of and was left all over the cement, clean up of cigarette butts and matches all over the property and on our roof, along with the fact that the list of check out duties was not followed properly. To date with all of the renters and return renters this is the first security deposit that we had to regretfully hold to cover the additional clean up to ensure the property was fully ready for our next renters. We try very hard to accommodate all of our renters and their needs but we also ask that they respect our home as if it were their own.

Would recommend

We stayed at this property this past summer ('09). We split the cost with three families, 17 persons including kids. The home is very nice and the pictures are accurate. It is not poorly stocked or haphazardly thrown together as one person posted - we were instructed to bring our own toiletries, as we have at other properties we've stayed at. It is nice and comfortable inside, very roomy, & everything was in good repair, except for the absence of a blender. We called the owner about the blender, and in 20 minutes a maintenance person had dropped off one. There is a washer and dryer on site - another rarity. As to proximity to the resort, we cut across the fairway behind the cabin, and you can then take the cart path to the resort - elapsed time, 5 minutes. We have stayed at cottages and cabins elsewhere in Michigan. This is one of the nicest, roomiest, and most comfortable places we have every had the pleasure of renting. We would not only recommend it, we would stay there again.
