Carlsbad Vacation Rental cottage

We needed a quiet, comfortable place to stay for two weeks that would accommodate a large, 80 lbs. active Golden Retriever and still provide all the amenities such as Hi-speed Internet, satellite TV, and kitchenette. Finding this Guesthouse was the perfect match!
The cottage is a large, airy and bright space with plenty of room. The ceiling is vaulted, the floor is tile, and the decor is neutral, giving a warm, inviting feel. Wooden blinds allow for as much light or privacy as desired. There is air-conditioning, but we were content with just keeping the screened windows open for the nice cross-breeze. The California King-sized bed is extremely comfortable. The bathroom has a huge walk-in shower with a window. The kitchenette is well-stocked, and the hosts provide a mini-fridge and counter full of breakfast goodies to start your day. There is off-street parking. The Guesthouse has its own covered patio, or you may make use of the rest of the yard. The Home & Garden-like beautiful grounds are quite large with lots of grass, and is fully fenced to allow your pets freedom to wander and play. The property, located at the end of a quiet street just minutes off the I-5/Los Flores exit, borders on the Hosp Way nature trails and offers great hiking. Old Town Carlsbad Village and a public beach on the ocean are just a quick 5-7 minute drive away. Legoland and GIA are about 10 minutes. There are many grocery stores, restaurants, and shops within 10 minutes as well.
Our hosts, Jeff and Cindy, truly know how to make each guest feel welcome and special. They are friendly and very accommodating, letting the guest determine how much or little interaction they would like during the stay. Both are very knowledgeable about the area for restaurant recommendations, shopping tips, things to do, etc. should you want suggestions.
The Hosts currently have two dogs on the property that are very friendly and play well with other animals. Our dog thought he was in heaven the entire trip, having two fun playmates and lots of room to romp. We felt very safe leaving him with them while we were out, and they even provided special treats for him for his stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed our two-week stay with Jeff & Cindy at their Guesthouse, and heartily recommend it, especially if you have pets, or just want a place that's quiet and comfortable. We now consider it our North Coast San Diego home-away-from-home, and wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. We can't wait to go back!
