Crimson Cottage is a delightful vintage cottage located in the heart of Chimney Rock Village and only one mile from Lake Lure Marina & Beach.

WE HAVE A LOCAL MANAGER !

Perfect for a family or group of friends who are looking for value & want to be in the center of activities. It is only a short stroll across the bridge over the Rocky Broad River to the quaint shops & restaurants of Chimney Rock Village, the entrance to Chimney Rock State Park & to trout fishing along the beautiful Riverwalk. The sparkling waters of Lake Lure offering fishing, boating & swimming are only 1 mile away. With over 2100 sq ft of living area, the cottage is comfortably furnished in a family friendly manner. Kids will love the huge upstairs game room with its own Cable TV/VCR/DVD player, 2 twin beds, Foosball table, checkers table and games.

Enjoy a game of horseshoes in the large backyard, grill steaks on the charcoal grill, or have a picnic on the picnic table. Crimson Cottage has ample off-street parking for 3 cars.

Crimson Cottage is non-smoking and, sorry, but we do not accepts pets. Thank you for respecting these policies for the comfort of all our guests.

About Sharon Ryan

We love fishing, boating, swimming, running, and long walks. We can walk across the bridge to fish in the Rocky Broad River at the Riverwalk. We've rented a pontoon and explored Lake Lure, which is only 1 mile away.

Why Sharon Ryan chose Chimney Rock

We love Chimney Rock and Lake Lure and purchased this particular cottage because it is in the center of activities in Chimney Rock and is right down the street from our other cottage called River Rose Cottage. When all our family comes, we stay in both cottages, which can sleep 14 people in both cottages.

Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency () unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.

Notes

  • No cleaning fee as long as the cottage is left neat. $30 Nonrefundable Reservation fee.
  • Credit Cards Accepted: MasterCard, VISA, Discover and American Express
    Low Season (Jan-Feb) $325/2 nights; $110 each add'l night .. $750/week.
    Mid Season ......... $350/2 nights; $115 each add'l night .. $950/week.
    Mid Season dates include: Mar, Apr, May, Sep, Nov, Dec, except holidays.
    High Season ......... $425 for 2 nights; $135 ea. addtl. night; $990/week.
    4th of July ............ $450/2 nights; $140 each add'l night .. $1,100/week.
    Labor Day, Thanksgiving & Christmas weeks . . .Same as High Season.
    Plus $30 nonrefundable reservation fee.
    Please See Above for Additional Rental Information.
  • 50% of the rent + $30 nonrefundable reservation fee + 11.75% tax required to confirm a reservation. The balance is due 31 days prior to arrival. 60 days notice required to cancel with additional $50 cancellation fee. No refund if cancelled less than 60 days prior to arrival, unless cottage can be re-rented. If re-rented, cancellation fees will apply. $350 Security / damage deposit required and we just take an imprint of your credit card for that at check-in.

We loved Crimson Cottage and Chimney Rock!

My family and I recently stayed in Crimson Cottage and we absolutely loved it! It's a charming older cottage which reminded me of my grandma's house when I was a little girl. There was plenty of room for the 8 of us and my 2 teenaged girls loved the upstairs game room and they even let us go upstairs a couple of times to play cards with them! The kitchen was well equipped and the entire house was immaculately clean and well maintained. We roasted marshmallows in the fire pit and walked to the cute shops in the village. Heather checked us in and she recommended Medina's Bistro and we walked there and had lunch and dinner and it was great, especially the claim chowder!! All in all, we had a great stay and are already talking about when we can come back in the summer so we can walk to the River Walk and go fishing.

Thanksgiving Weekend 2009 at Crimson Cottage

Our family had the pleasure of staying at Crimson Cottage over the Thanksgiving weekend. I must say this cottage is magical! It reminded our grandson of what the house in "Goldilocks and the Three Bears" must look like. The location is perfect....privacy AND easy access to the village of Chimney Rock. The house itself is so charming, and was well suited to give everyone privacy when they needed it, and togetherness when they wanted it. How relaxing it was to spend a few hours on the porch reading, listening to the river, and watching the leaves fall. We definitely will make our way "over the river and through the woods" to Crimson Cottage again!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
