CAN YOU SAY…LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!! Need a Place at the Last Minute! Call…Don’t e-mail! If you are looking for a conveniently located property in the Asheville area my home is it. Look no further! It’s just 3 minutes away from The Biltmore Estate and Biltmore Village and about 5 minutes from downtown Asheville. The home is ideal for four people. But there is a futon for extra family and friends. The 2 bedrooms are furnished with comfortable queen size beds. The kitchen and bathroom were completely remodeled in 2007 and the kitchen is well-equipped for gourmet cooking if that is your pleasure. There are mixes of old and new with several antique pieces scattered throughout the house. The home is very clean, cozy, charming, organized and comfortable. I want you to feel like it is your 'home away from home'. It is ideal for weekend or week long vacations, or temporary lodging while house hunting or job relocating.

My home is located less than 3 minutes from the Biltmore Village and The Biltmore Estates and 5 minutes from Downtown Asheville. It is on a short quiet dead end street with lots of trees and flowers. It's less than 10 minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway (Named one of the top ten most beautiful scenic highways in the US) that takes you to Mount Mitchell, (highest point east of the Mississippi River) Mount Pisgah, NC Arboretum just to name a few. If you enjoy the outdoors, my home is conveniently located to countless outdoor activities from white water rafting, canoeing, hiking, mountain biking, climbing, horse back riding, to golfing and fishing just to name a few.

Dear Janis: Your house was very comfortable for us and SO clean! We had three friends over for dinner and the kitchen had everything we needed. You were so helpful in giving us directions to the beautiful waterfalls. We had a wonderful two days at the Biltmore Estate with your discount tickets. In Asheville, we highly recommend the Chocolate Fetish. We went there twice!! Thanks for the nice, relaxing visit.

Hi Janis,
We are enjoying every minute of our Asheville vacation. The house has been the perfect base for all of our day trips and outings…a comfortable, cozy, charming home away from home.

Thank you for all your help with our itinerary. We squeezed so much into a week! Biltmore and a great dinner at the Bistro, a day downtown, the River Arts District, Mt. Mitchell, a day in the Great Smokey National Park, Hendersonville, The Greenville Art Museum, The Asheville Symphony, Natalie Cole at the Peace Center and tomorrow the Russian National Ballet. Your recommendations, reservations and advice helped us so much!!! Believe it or not, we left many things out for another vacation in Asheville!!!

Little did we know when selecting your vacation place that we would end up finding a new friend! Janis, you are a true gem. What would we have done without you! Your hospitality and new found friendship will always be special to us. The house is everything and more! Its location is perfect. The car you give in assuring all needs are accommodated displays just the wonderful person you are. We can’t wait to tell all our friends and send them your way. We look forward to our next visit (via car rental from Alabama!) ?

Since retirement we’ve had the opportunity to use vacation rentals by owners several times, therefore dealing with many property-owners. None has been more accommodating or friendly as our hostess, Janis. She responded to our questions in a timely manner and found answers to things that she didn’t readily know.



We especially appreciated that we didn’t have to wait or worse yet have to ask for our security deposit. It was returned promptly after we left.



The home was exceptionally clean and cozy. The bedding was very comfortable and the kitchen was organized and well equipped. We look forward to staying with Janis on our future visits to Asheville and will recommend her to our friends and family!
