No matter where you look you'll see nothing but trees. Backwoods Lodge is surrounded by trees which gives you the privacy you deserve while relaxing on your vacation. But wait, don't think this means that there's nothing but a screen porch, beautiful seclusion, and all the comforts of home... just a short walk will take you to the U.S. National Whitewater Park. This place alone can keep you busy for a whole week! However, there's still even more! Lowe's Motor Speedway is just 25 minutes away! Carowinds is just 20 minutes away! Then if you want to go 'Uptown Charlotte', that's just a short 15 minute drive from the Lodge. You and your kids will love Discovery Place & the Omni Max Theater! There's football, basketball, baseball & hockey! Again, all within 20 miles from the Lodge. Why not some fishing or boating? The list of things to do goes on and all are within 50 miles. With the price of gas, you can't beat it! Come to the Lodge and have fun!

Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency (US Dollars) unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Cleaning would be once per week to change bed linens, replace towels, clean bath and floors.
  • If you are bringing a pet there will be a fee of $25.00 per pet. Kennel is provided so that pet will not be left in house alone.
    There is a $250.00 per week security deposit which rolls over into a damage deposit once you arrive. This is refundable.
    For more information, see your Rental Agreement.
  • Due to the economy, we have lowered our prices as of July 11th, 2009. (good thru January 2010)
    We have lowered our price to $775 for the weekly rate (a savings of $200.00)
    We have also lowered our daily rate to $115 (a savings of $45.00)
    Security / Damage Deposit remains the same. ($250/wk)
    Pet Fee Remains the same. ($25 per pet)
    There is a Hospitality Tax which the city of Charlotte requires us to charge our short term guests.

GREAT PLACE - CLOSE TO LOTS OF FUN!

We had a great time. The family all met at the lodge (8 of us). The place was accessible for our family members in wheelchairs (niece & sister). We went to Carowinds - long lines, ugh! The National Whitewater Center was right next door. Our dogs loved the trails! Did some fishing, hiking, and enjoyed nature. This place is great! It feels like you're in the country but then everything is so close by. We'll be back!

It is rare that you find a place you can feel "at home" as soon as you walk in. This cabin snuggled back in the Carolina woods is just that place.

The cabin is charming and had all the necessities to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Including a full kitchen, laundry room, huge bathroom and cable tv. There is a great size screen porch where you can while away the hours. There is also a firepit an amazing bbq grill and games such as foosball.

We had a great time putting puzzles together while watching the food network and making our own versions of meals.

Our stay was made more enjoyable by how easy it was to find area attractions. The owner had left a well organized binder of local attractions with phone numbers and websites.

I can honestly say we would recommend this cabin to anyone who asks. And we hope to return for another relaxing week among nature.
