My lady and I spent a night here passing through from Montego Bay to Kingston. We were given Lizzy's cell number and he met us directly and it was a real neat place! My lady is a real house keeper and noticed it was a bit dusty here and there, but in my opinion as an average man, it was just fine!! If you get one of the top floor apartments like we did, you get a good view over the market area to the ocean. Make sure you take a shower not at the same time as when all the kids in town get ready for school because the water pressure drops right off. Lizzy is very accommodating if you need anything. The locals are awesome friendly. If you go across the street into the entrance of the market and turn to the right right away, you go down a short ways, fifty feet and there is a tiny little eatery that serves great food for cheap. The locals again are ready and willing to visit and exchange ideas with you, and that's fun. In fact the first night a man gave us a banana leaf humming bird.
We came by again a couple weeks later on our way back to Montego bay and again, there was Lizzy waiting for us (we called ahead of course). And again, it was all good. It is a real nice place in the middle of a poorish kinda town, and it may feel weird driving down a narrow street to get to the place and then opening these iron doors to park the car inside for the night; you could leave it outside the iron doors too if you wanted, noone there is going to sabatoge it. They are all so helpful to guide you as you back your car in, or if you drove straight in, guide you back out on the street; and if there is no one nearby, then there is probably no traffic around either!
If you are not a very flexible personality, and need things to be just like the normal American city, then you may not be comfortable here.
But, it is good for anyone, really, no matter what age, it is more what is up your creek so to speak, as far as what you like for a "hide-out".
As for me, I'd go back anyday!
(I put down excellant, bearing in mind it is not a five star hotel, yeah, this place is EXCELLANT for the price!)
