************** LABOR DAY WEEKEND NOW AVAILABLE ***************************** Cowlitz Vista is a rental home located in Packwood, Washington, a small town nestled among the trees of Mount Ranier national park, Gifford Pinchot state park, Mt. St. Helen's volcanic monument, and the gateway to the crystal lakes and miles of trails that the White Pass area has to offer. Sitting under the forest canopy, Cowlitz Vista provides the most private, relaxing rental around. Background noises are comprised of chirping birds and the wind rustling through the trees. Seldom will you see traffic or neighbors. You might catch a glimpse of an elk or two moseying through the property. For your comfort and enjoyment, our house is 1750 sq. feet with 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, game room, gourmet kitchen, and large family room and dining room. We can accommodate up to 8. For winter, our attached garage will keep your car warm and free of snow.

Packwood is the Gateway to Washington's summer and winter playground. Activities during the summer include trips to Mt. Rainier National Park, Mt. St. Helens Volcanic National Park, Wine tasting at the numerous wineries located in Yakima, and fishing in the many lakes and rivers located close by. During the winter months, there are snowmobile parks, within a few miles of the house, and White Pass Ski area located within 30 minute drive. Activities at White Pass include skiing, snow boarding, cross country skiing, and snow shoeing.

  • The master bath is very spacious containing the shower, sink/ vanity, and toilet. The walk in closet is also accessed from the master bath. Bathroom #2 is also a full bathroom, with sink/ vanity, toilet, and bath/shower combination.

  • Comfortable queen bed for a good night's sleep, or curl up in one of the chairs to enjoy a good book, gaze out the window at the many elk that roam the property, or watch satellite TV or perhaps enjoy a VCR movie from our library. In bedroom 2, allow your imagination to run wild. You see the Eiffel Tower in the distance, smell the scent of French food wafting out of our gourmet kitchen, as you pass into blissful sleep on the double bed. Our Bunk room is a favorite of children. They will surely fight over who gets the upper bunk. This bedroom sleeps 3 in comfort. Relax in the game room with your favorite book, enjoy a rousing game on the xbox 360, or enjoy that favorite movie on the DVD or VCR player. Later in the evening, make the couch into a sleeper and get a good nights sleep (this sleeper is only recommended for the smaller child).

This was the perfect house for a mountain getaway. My husband and I were so pleased with the cleanliness and comfortableness of the house. While it was just the two of us, the house was huge and would be perfect for a large family or bigger group. We also loved sitting in the hot tub and watching the elk walk by!

I just wanted to say thank you so much for this beautiful home! At last minute our family decided to go and check out the huge sales in Packwood. After checking around at local hotels only to find them booked (blessing in disguise) I came across the website for your property. The gated community gave us sense of security and upon walking into the home our expectations were far surpassed! We will be back, we are going to make tradition of staying at the home. I can't wait to come back. Thanks!

Thanks for the opportunity to spend a long ski weekend in your beautiful Packwood home. The home was perfect for our family of 8 - there was something for everyone - hot tub, x-box, well equipped kitchen, nicely appointed living spaces and a beautiful setting. It was a perfect get away. We hope to be back soon.

This was absolutely an awesome home. The setting was spectacular! The home had EVERYTHING that we could possibly need or want plus above and beyond. I loved the hot tub...it was A+++. We felt like queens and kings with ALL the extra little things that you do to make it such a nice welcoming place to stay! Way better than a couple of the other homes I've been to in Packwood. I come to Packwood several times a year, and we will DEFINEATELY be choosing your home again. Thank you for wonderful home to stay in.

Our family enjoyed ourselves in your rental and would love to come back. My 13 year old loved the X Box, my 8 year old loved the bunk beds, and my husband and I enjoyed the wonderful space and accommodations!
