The Seafoam is a newly renovated year-round cottage in the Chalker Beach community in Old Saybrook, CT. Everything - inside and out - is brand new, and the beach is only a 3 minute walk away!! The kitchen is equipped with a range, toaster, refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker with seating for four - although there are several extra chairs for the friends you'll make while you're here! The bedroom has a queen bed, dresser, and closet. The living room has a queen sleeper sofa, cable TV, and broadband internet connection for the rare inclement weather (you supply the computer). The updated full bath has a stand-up shower. The large deck off the kitchen has seating for four, and leads to a back yard with a gas grill, and a garden with fresh vegetables! Watch the sunrise over the marsh from your bedroom window, and the sun set from the back deck.

The Seafoam Palace is the perfect location for a summer getaway, whether you're looking for romance or family fun! The private beach is a very short walk away, and there are plenty of activities for the kids at the Chalker Beach clubhouse. Old Saybrook's quaint Main Street has shops for browsing and restaurants for dining. A quick trip in either direction on I-95 brings you to even more options: New London where you can pick up the ferry for a day trip to Block Island or Long Island; either of two resort casinos - the Mohegan Sun and MGM-Foxwoods; historic Mystic, CT for shopping in Mystic Village, touring Mystic Seaport, or visiting the penguins (et al) at the award-winning Aquarium; premium outlet shopping in Westbrook and Clinton, CT; the classic Essex Steam Train and Riverboat that takes you on a scenic train ride and then a cruise on the Connecticut River. Also close by are plenty of on-the-water dining and entertainment option, vineyards, art galleries, and antique shops.
