Seafoam Palace - Chalker Beach

My husband and I recently spent four days at the seafoam palace. Upon arrival, the cottage was clean and welcoming. There were many windows, giving the house an open airy feeling. The quiet neighborhood was a stone's throw away from a private beach, making it easy to take several trips to the ocean daily. At night, the back porch was a perfect place to enjoy food and drinks with friends. We would definitely recommend this quaint cottage for anyone interested in "getting away".

We spent one week there last summer with our two toddlers and really enjoyed ourselves. We used the bedroom for ourselves and our two boys, ages 3 and 5, had fun sleeping in the living room on the pull out. We brought the kids bikes and they enjoyed riding them to the beach, or just up and down the road, which was recently paved and not heavily traveled. The boys made friends down the street with year round owners and they enjoyed playing outside as well. The beach is perfect and the clubhouse, with its parking (for visitors) and amenties (ping pong, games, bathrooms) is so wonderful to have with young kids. We found it very relaxing and just the right size and price for us. We did day trips to Mystic and the Outlets. I love this area in CT and it allowed us to visit all my family in CT and to welcome them to visit at the beach with us. I already knew about this Chalker Beach community because I grew up in CT and enjoyed the area. It was an easy trip and vacation to do for us as we are only 2 hours away and wanted to avoid another mosquito season up north on a lake!! This beach is cute, clean, quiet and not crowded, so a couple visitors, especially in the morning hours is great, you practically get the beach all to yourselves, cause this community starts their days late. Also, good area for bike riding along the shoreline and cute little stores to ride to. Hope to go back next year.....special place, meticulous and honest owner, refreshing to find such nice people out there renting and taking such pride in their homes. :)

We loved staying at Seafoam Cottage. My husband and I, along with our 2 children, felt very welcomed and comfortable during our week-long stay. The cleanliness impressed us immediately. The outdoor shower became our favorite amenity, as we didn't bring our sandy feet into the cottage!! The little touches such as the outdoor patio furniture and the stocked "library" were appreciated. The location was great....only a short walk to the beach. We look forward to returning to Seafoam next summer.
