Summer Time Activities:
Angel Fire is a really COOL place to escape the summer heat! The temps are in the 70's, humidity in the 20's...you can't get much better than that! There are many activities in the area to keep you busy: Spectacular hiking and mountain biking on any number scenic trails. Hike Wheeler Peak to over 13,000 feet or take a relaxed nature walk near town. There are plenty of places to rent bikes & gear. The area even hosts several mountain bike/road race events. There are trails on the ski mountain and you can take the scenic chair lift ride with your bike on the back. Other activities include: horseback riding, 4-wheeling, river rafting, tennis and fishing. For the kids there are playgrounds at the community center and at Olympic Park, a climbing wall at the base of the ski area, and paddle boats/row boats at Monte Verde Lake.

Ski:
Are you ready for the SNOW? Angel Fire is a fabulous place to come and play in the snow. The beautiful, white fluffy snow covers the entire town and surrounding mountains. The ski area boasts NM's only two high speed quad chairlifts and 67 perfectly groomed trails. The lift will take you 2,000ft up the mountain so you can enjoy the trip down on uncrowded terrain. The ski area is open early Dec to late March (weather conditions permitting). Don't ski or board? You can still enjoy this winter wonderland in a horse-drawn sleigh ride, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, or cross country skiing. Again, there are plenty of places to rent gear and numerous guided tours.
Golf:
Great GOLF at the Angel Fire Resort Golf Course and Country Club! It was rated as one of the top 5 courses in NM and one of the top high elevation courses in the country by Golf America. This is one of the nation's highest courses, at an elevation of about ,8600ft your ball is bound to go soaring! The longer playing layouts of the front nine wind through two unspoiled canyons of aspen and spruce. The signature 6th hole features a tee box soaring 200ft above the green 250 yards away. The back nine offers mountain meadow play with rolling fairways, meandering streams and plenty of bunkers to challenge every level of golfer. Season is May 10-Oct 19.
