Long Beach Vacation Rental house

We stayed there the third week of August coming to Long Beach from Pittsburgh for a convention. The place was totally laid out. We were app. 10 minutes from downtown Long Beach which worked out well. We had our own beach front. Beach was somewhat dirty (not Joe's fault) and not crowded which can be good or bad depending on what you are looking for.
House is in the middle of a residential neighborhood so not a busy "tourist" area with traffic. There was a business stretch within walking distance which offered bars, eateries and minor shopping.
We did not know what to expect in Long Beach thinking it was like a Virginia Beach or Myrtle Beach on the east coast. It was not the "beach scene" which we thought but turned out to be a great low key time. The view of the sun setting over the mountains behind the skyline of Long Beach was awesome from the roof (a nice spot to hangout).
Joe's place was great as it actually is a residence. There are toys and bikes and video games to use along with all beach items (umbrella, chairs, football etc....) flat screen tvs/dish. Some furnishings were dated by didn't make a difference. If you are looking for privacy with a large group the whole third floor was like a suite. Two other bedrooms had bathroom in it or right outside of door which was just for that bedroom.
Carlos was the man when it came to checking up on us to make sure we didn't need anything or to give us directions.
Again it is everything it says and was definately the flag ship of the neighborhood. For what the hotels were charging for the convention and what six of us paid for a week there it was easily the better of the deal. If I am in the area again for an extended period of time this is the place!
