Direct access to the ocean & dramatic views to the Atlantic & outer islands. Walk to the boatyard. Ideal spot for BBQ's, reading, or lunch at the picnic table! The parade of sailboats & working lobster boats will transport you! Spacious living & open yard w/ well-kept lawn. Open kitchen & family room w/ ocean views. HW floors! Laundry. Kids welcome. A single well-behaved pet negotiable (not preferred). Beaches w/in a 12 min walk. Island swimming Pool through Aug. NINE-hole golf. Make night/day trips to The Olde Port (Portland) for dinner on one of 2 ferries. Deposit & easy lease required. Day trip to Freeport & LLBEAN. Call for details. Additional information about rental rates

  • Total bill is base price plus Maine State Sales tax of 7%. Cleaning fee is $125. Sec dep is $200.
  • Lease is required and will be emailed to you after we talk and agree. $200 security deposit will be returned to you with 10 days from departure provided there is no damage. The lease covers all of this. NO EXCEPTIONS ON WORDING OF LEASE- IT WORKS! Owner reserves right to rent to weekly renters before those of lesser duration. EXTRA CHARGE OF $25/EXTRA PERSON/NIGHT on 4 days stays with over 4 in party. EG: 4 night stay with 8 people- this would get prorated at 4 days based on a $1300/week rate plus $100/night (4 extra people X $25/night) plus State tax on all that plus $125 cleaning fee. EXTRA charge only applies to 4 night stays with MORE THAN 4 in party.
  • Looking for caring winter renters without pets...call for month to month rate on that. Will consider a single well-behaved pet for which you are totally responsible for weekly renters ONLY...1 pet max, no exceptions...would strongly prefer no pets. Woodstove on property. Lawn maintained at owner's expense.

To get rates for a whole winter rental, you need to call owner. Prorated by the day for additional days or fewer days. 4 days is the absolute minimum stay. No smoking, shoes off policy in house (slipper's OK), prefer no pets but would consider a single well-behaved pet at owner's sole responsibility and risk.

Eat Lobster: BBQ, Picnics, beach picnics, Portland, Freeport, Chebeague island Inn, Mr. Ed's for lunch or pizza or sandwiches, SWIMMING! Yes, one can easily swim here, it is not too cold to take an ocean swim. Warmer ocean temperatures than further south in Maine because of Gulf stream and island radiant heat. Not warm mind you, but swimmable and refreshing. I have been in for 20 minutes at a time in mid summer!

Be Merry: Restaurants, fishing, swimming, sunbathing, boating, bicycling, berry picking, exploring, island hopping, shopping (FREEPORT AND PORTLAND AND ON-ISLAND), GOLF (ON ISLAND and in Freeport), read, visit Chebeague maritime historical museum, visit Chebeage library for books and video rentals...bake a pie, steam lobsters, go clamming (license required day or longer)...
