“Urris Hillside Cottage” is located in the beautifully rugged and remote Inishowen Peninsula within County Donegal. This stunning home has been completely updated with all modern conveniences and it is the perfect place to call home while exploring Donegal, Ulster and the North Antrim Causeway Coast of Ireland. This two level home, sleeps 8. Downstairs has a living room with open, turf burning fireplace, modern kitchen, master bedroom with queen size bed, full bathroom and separate laundry room. The modern kitchen has a refrigerator, freezer, cook top, oven, microwave, dishwasher and garbage disposal. Upstairs has two bedrooms and another full bathroom. One bedroom has a double bed. The other bedroom has 4 single beds. There is Central Heating, loads of turf for burning, washer and dryer, TV, VCR, and DVD player. Walkers paradise with miles of hills, beaches and country roads to explore. Come experience the true rugged beauty that is Donegal!

The home sits on the southside of the Urris Hills with the North Atlantic Ocean on the northside. You will find miles and miles of deserted hills, beaches and country roads for walking. The town of Buncrana (6 miles away) is a summer destination for local vacationers. Buncrana has lovely hotels and many full menu restaurants also a number of traditional pubs with food and live entertainment. The home is located 90 minutes from Letterkenny, 15 miles from Derry City and the North Atlantic is just over the mountains behind the house. A Catholic Church is a ten minute drive. There are many attractions. Some of our favorites are- Malin Head-the northern most point in Ireland, Glenveagh National Park, Ulster American Folk Park, Horseback Riding in the West, Grianan of Aileach Ringed Fort, Dunluce Castle, Giants Causeway, Rope Bridge, Bushmills, Slieve League, Sunsets from the Bloody Foreland.

Restaurants: Ballyliffen is located on the North Atlantic Ocean, there are four lovely hotels with full restaurant menus and great bar food, all within five miles of the Cottage. Buncrana is a summer destination for local vacationers, and has many many traditional pubs with food and live entertainment. There are also many full menu restaurants in the Buncrana area, all within six miles of the Cottage.

Inishowen 100: The house is located on The Inishowen 100 Scenic Drive. It is a 100 mile long drive signposted touring route around the peninsula and is an opportunity to experience some of Ireland's most breathtaking scenery. Amongst its highlights is Ireland's most northerly point at the wild and rugged Malin Head.

Derry City: Derry is the second largest city in Northern Ireland. It is one of the few examples in Western Europe of a completely walled city. With the troubles behind it, Derry offers a tourist friendly environment coupling old and new attractions with plenty of up to date shopping experiences.

This cottage is everything it says on the tin!

Cosy, warm and welcoming, tastefully decorated, with a real home from home feeling.

The views spectacular, and close enough to amenities to be convenient, without spoiling the rural setting of the cottage.

Nothing was too much trouble from the owners, and prior communications fantastic.

In short our expectations were more than exceeded, and none of us wanted to leave.

Highly reccommended - SUPERB!!!
