Even before reading the reviews, while we were vacationing in Orlando in This Luxury Disney Home Rental, we had written down all issues we had during our 2 week stay to send to the Owner upon r arrival.(which we did) It didn't start very well, at first sight what a beautiful home. To start the outdoor pipes in front lawn were leaking a lot, we had NO HOT WATER, pillow cases in r room were dirty. On Dec 31/12 Cable company wanted to cut Cable off as owner hadn't responded to their notice to call for a repair, which they had left a month prior our arrival. We had to call maintenance on Jan 2nd still NO HOT WATER so my husband took the opportunity to tour the house with the maintenance man to show certain concerns we had. We told the owner (in our e-mail upon r return)there was a leak from the Pool in the yard that had obviously been for awhile as the ground was soaking wet, (he replied that a sprinkler was broken, it has been repaired since) . The bathroom fans were cluttered with dust, there was mold build up in every shower on caulking, window coverings were very dirty, a bad odor from carpets, dirty and stains (Owner has since got steamed). There's a folder with house information and important numbers for guests, it says that it's a Brand NEW HOME, not quit. He's sorry to hear about our stay as he as said in other reviews. A bit of a refund would compensate for the issues we had to deal with, if this were my rental business I would want my renters to be Happy Guests.

Owner's Response: The guests called in with a hot water problem and a repair man came the same day. He returned next day with the part needed to correct the problem (allowing the water to go from warm to hot). There was never any threat of cable being cut off. The cable company had to make some repairs to a number of homes in the community. They did not provide me (the owner) with any notice but knocked on the door and the guests let them in for a few minutes to do whatever they needed to do. I understand they had to go to a number of homes. I am unclear as to why this was so inconvenient and is part of a public compliant designed to deter people from making future reservations. There is no leak from the pool, this is just untrue. The pool is cleaned and maintained every week by the Home Owners Association. There was a sprinkler head on the front lawn that was dripping and over time had caused some water to make an area of grass wet. The sprinklers are used in the hot summer months to keep the grass green. The sprinkler head was fixed after it was reported by the guests. There are multiple pillow cases. If a pillow case was dirty (and I do not believe that it was) it could have been changed. In fact there are duplicate sets of new sheets and bedding for every bedroom. The carpets were steam cleaned after the guests left. They were not dirty before the guests arrived. They are just not being honest. There was some minor dust on the bathroom vent fans that was cleaned after the guests left. There is no mold in the house at all. This review is being posted because I refused to provide a refund. The home is cleaned and maintained to a very high standard and as part of our maintenance program was painted both inside and out at the end of February 2013. If a guest a has a problem we will respond quickly and courteously. The guest had the intention from the outset to get a full or partial refund and threatened to post a poor review if I did not provide one.
