I Feel Like Someone Will Be Sleeping in MY Bed

After staying here, I now want my own cabin on the river. It was quiet and the river was a few steps from the sliding glass door. The sound was invigorating and the view was lovely. The house was equipped with everything and anything you needed. After my daily hikes, I felt like I was coming home. The bed was wonderful and at the end of the day I konked and slept like a baby.
Turned out to be cooler than usual the few days that I was there (at least that's what the weather people kept repeating on the tube). It was around 46 degrees two mornings I woke up and it was rainy (which the weather people did not predict), so I did not get to spend as much time as I wanted sitting by the river. Guess that means I will just have to make another trip back.
I did get some great advice from the woman at the local outdoor store (at the intersection on your way out). It was drizzly and I had to get my hike in - she suggested to drive over to the east side of Mt Hood. I started to drive east around to Hyw 35 - Shazam - the rain was gone and the sun was out and there was the mtn beaconing me to explore. It was cooler and windier but the Elk Meadows, waterfalls and creeks were wonderful scenery.
One note (and a very, very small note): I didn't have any kind of cooking spray and my eggs kept sticking to the pan - I know, I know, but if that was my only issue than you know that it is a great place to stay. So if you can remember to buy some cooking spray b4 u get there - just leave it there for the me the next time I get up there.
