Rustic Yet Comfortable
The Red Cedar Retreat is an 850 square foot, two bedroom red cedar log cottage located in the picturesque community of Sandy Hook in Sechelt, British Columbia, Canada. The cottage has a rustic feel with the vaulted cedar ceilings and beams, woodstove, and old wide-plank fir and terracotta floors, yet it comes equipped with all the modern amenities to make your stay as carefree and easy as possible. The cottage is fully furnished and contains a full-sized fridge, stove, toaster, coffee maker, charcoal BBQ, washer and dryer. For a touch of luxury, high-end mattresses, fine bed linens, down comforters, plush towels, and natural organic toiletries are provided.
Indulge in a nice bottle of wine on our large cedar deck, or curl up on our comfortable furniture next to a roaring fire in the rustic woodstove. Unwind in our wilderness hot tub, enjoying a wild winter storm, or on a clear summer night, under a plethora of stars. Escape from the summer heat into the deep lush coastal rainforest by stepping out the back door of the cottage onto private trails that reach hundreds of kms all the way into the Tetrahedron Mountain Range.
Complete Privacy
At the Red Cedar Cottage we pride ourselves on offering our guests complete privacy. Unlike a vacation suite, bed and breakfast, lodge or hotel, your cottage rental gives you exclusive access to the cottage, the cottage grounds and the wilderness hot-tub.
The Fern Room
Enjoy views of the lush rainforest from the comfort of our luxurious queen bed, down comforter and fine linens. The bright and spacious Fern Room features large picture windows on three sides, vaulted ceilings, and private access to the outdoors for a midnight dip in the hot tub.
The Arbutus Room
The tranquil cozy and private Arbutus room is located at the far end of the cottage from the Fern Room, ensuring you total privacy from whomever you travel with. Completely enveloped in cedar, snuggled in our soft, warm double bed under a down comforter and fine linens, you may find you never want to leave.
